Gmail recently changed "Labels" placement from Right side to compulsively Left side, what do you think?

It should be an end-user choice, as should the idea of hiding all but 3 or 4 labels. I want to see ALL of my labels -- on the right side.

I voted Right, but what I really want to see is the OPTION of a) having the labels on the right and b) showing all labels, not an abbreviated list.

This is so frustrating.
My main use of labels is for automatic filtering of my incoming mail. Everything is assigned to its own label without going through inbox first.
So... I NEED/want to be able to see all of my labels at first sight, and... right-hand side labels was just perfect for that.
Give us the option, then take it back (I just noticed my labels back on the left side - just for some sort of transition before the new label system is on) is just bad.
Please please give us that option back :).
