Why do people need straws to drink? They are absolutely not necessary for consuming liquid. More convenient, maybe, but not essential.

It is about time we return containers and bottles to stores and collection places. Wash and re use them (Placing in a curb side bin to be picked up and cleaned) Like returning milk bottles in the days past. I think it is about time takeaway places make bins at stores to collect containers)

If the city is as competent at enforcing this latest prohibition, as they are with bike helmets, dog leashing and car idling, then no one need worry. What is not permitted is forbidden.
