BC Ferries and Debra Marshall "make it up as they go along".....fuck the paying customers as long as they make it across in 1 hr and 35 minutes which they count as in time sailings no matter how long the departure delays. BC Ferries is riddled with nepotism and incompetence...what else can you expect?

Transport Canada safety standards allow only the same amount of passengers as they have of life boat and life jackets to a maximum of passengers to the regulation of each individual vessel. The major problem is that BC Ferries has cut the deck crew to the minimum Saftey Standards also which means cars are not being loaded properly on deck to allow maximum loading.... passengers leave their vehicles with sometimes 4-6 feet in front of them and do not pull up within inches as instructed by PA announcement prior to loading .

The suggestion by BC Ferries that they have to cut off vehicle loadings because of the number of walk ons is rubbish. I don't have to say how many passangers I have with me. I dont know that when I reserve. Why did they buy ferries with all those expensive seats if they can't carry that many people.( Salish Raven etc). The Gulf Islands was better served by the old Queen of Naniamo. She is in Fiji now."Pity!" Something needs to be done. As island residents part time we are continually held hostage with no public transport on the islands to speak of it is impossible to move around without a car. How about 1/2 price for smart cars. Everyone would get one in a hurry.
