I would gladly pay, but not sure if the content is worth 10 bones per month -- let me explain: The hard-hitting news that you kick ass with in MA media (especially greater Worcester) I would gladly pay for -- ditto for the rachetry and food stamp anydays material. The Genduso, Bilbaud, and related journalism is top notch. I would probably pay double if you just bird-dogged the MSP and MA government on all levels with a ratchet bonus. I dunno...I DO know that the ads are a fucking killer. I know you gotta make money and dont like hearing this shit, but the ads are CRIPPLING to the reader. I have read EVERY blog since you covered the Orange MA fire several years ago. I am not Facebook reliant, I have enough of a brain to know I can still see you by going to the WEBSITE (go figure) and do so multiple times per day. I thought the app was my salvation, but that is fucking polluted by ads as we speak. When you open the app, you cannot even see the turtleboy content on an iphone. You have to hit that tiny 'x' to actually see the posted blogs---I HAVE FAT FINGERS !! Additionally, the ad content is fucking deplorable. I have to see either the big teeth or that heinously ugly deformed woman 5 times per day. There is no ad I would ever even consider clicking on (except for you former organic clients like Gun Parlor, Marias, etc which I support, and I dont even see those any more)
I love you guys...you are doing the lord's work, I read everything, I actively support your local sponsors, I KNOW you gotta monetize, but there is still a REAL fucking bush league aspect towards your technical content delivery. I sympathize with your Facebook woes. But your website has always been cumbersome and you app has become equally so. If I win the mega millions or powerball, I will bankroll your operation. But as we speak, I am successful New Englander with time on my hands and certain level of disposable income and these are my Turtleboy thoughts. I want to take Abi on a date. Dinner at George's Coney Island, Maybe a concert at Institute Park, followed by some quality conversation under the stars at Bancroft Tower.
