Policing is not the answer to crime or gang violence. Put the money into programs for youth - programs that talk about gang violence do not deter young people from becoming gang involved. Surrey's crime rate has being going down - why are we spending money on the police?

Yes, Surrey needs its own police force. What we don’t need is a referendum.
Don’t pass the buck. Take action now and make the switch. Individual members are hardworking and dedicated. It’s the outdated RCMP model and organization that no longer work for a city the size of Surrey.

Along as the RCMP continue moving there officers around the country every 7 years. The force is useless to combat any major crime in BC, especially Surrey as the offficers take there knowledge and expertise of a matter to another city and province.
