It’s all about the developers and realtors making more money with the same properties. Nothing will be more affordable. It will be the same amount of investment x2 for the same space. Ridiculous. I’m tired of being pushed out.

What is it with these opponents to duplexes they have been around in Vancouver for years. I remember them well in Cambie Street. These NIMBY people should look at the BBC TV station showing the program "location location" illustrating house sales in the U.K A very good and entertaining show.
There houses (duplexes) are called semi detached and are the norm.. I lived in one for many years and it id not lower the prices of the property. There are more important issues to discuss in the forthcoming municipals elections.

The value of land just went up for everyone. This makes owning single family even more unattainable. Also does this mean duplexes are subject to strata rules, if not, what’s it going to be like sharing a dwelling with some you don’t know.

Pretty biased way of asking the poll question. Maybe stay more neutral in future polls?

It is outrageous that an outgoing city council should ram through a bill like this with no public consultation. Sounds like a bit of palm greasing by developers. I hope the incoming council reverses this immediately.
