Sorry, but since they can't even get my RENTER neighbors to mow their lawns, how on EARTH will they enforce this law? If it's a rental - go after the slumlord...I mean landlord. Yes, regular furniture looks dumpy on an outside porch and it attracts rodents and bugs, but getting the slumlords to keep up their houses would be a better idea. (oh, wait, we already have that ordinance/law on the books - but no one enforces it because the slumlords grease the wheels, so to speak).

I have to agree with the decision. They should pass the law in other places. It is really trashy looking. It is not that hard to call someone to come get the stuff or to take it out to the trash. It makes you wonder what the inside looks like and worse what if they have children living in the mess.
I completely agree with this decision. All to often I see old junk couches or chairs, even old bench seats out of cars on front porches around town. It looks trashy and lowers the image of our city. Its about time we cleaned up our neighborhoods.
