Monday after Super Bowl is no reason to have a national holiday. To do so would be stupid; just a celebration of chronic traumatic brain injury? Who needs that? I can think of lots of days we should take off from work, most prominently Earth Day. We should take a day to consider what we are doing to the Earth and the children who will be inheriting it. Or even more importantly, election day should be a national holiday, a full paid day off to go participate in democracy. But not the day after some football game.
