Does Fairfax County Need a Drive-Thru COVID-19 Testing Site?

Until we have safe widespread testing we have no real control over this pandemic. The US is coming from way behind in this crisis.

B.Y. - So since we don't currently have the health care system you'd prefer you're going to knowingly put peoples lives at risk. What a dick move.

I have a fever, a dry cough, and a husband that just came back from Europe two weeks ago. What I don't have is health insurance because it's expensive and because I'm usually healthy - I'm not at an age where I worry about that kind of thing. If drive-through testing becomes available, I will get tested. If not, I won't. Nor will I change my activities for a community that doesn't want to know things.

If I test positive and see that test, I will self-quarantine. Otherwise I will go about my daily activities, get my Starbucks and do my shopping like I did this morning, and we'll weather the storm together. If Fairfax was to send me through the healthcare system it would cost a lot of money. If they care whether we have Covid-19, then free-testing without a "doctor's recommendation" will become available.

This is something Medicare for all would be good at. If that's not the country I'm living in, then the seniors who voted for a Republican can rely on their healthy immune systems to keep them healthy.
