I think it was a beautiful and uplifting speech. He spoke the truth and people need to hear the truth. Trying to erase our history is asinine. These protest have got to stop l! Peaceful protesting is ok but this rioting, looting ,burning and threatening people on their own lawns is lawlessness! Our America as we’ve known it for 224 years has got to survive for the sake of our children and grandchildren! We Americans have got to stand up for our country! If you want to live in a socialist country go to Venezuela. Stand up for our constitutional rights! Let freedom ring throughout our great country!!

I was there! People were courteous, respectful and kind! The Presidents speech was patriotic, moving and layed out the truth in what it will take to protect our republic! He seemed truly moved to be in the company of the likes of four great Presidents on Independence Day with the fireworks and the responsibility he bears! My heart breaks for this administration that wants this country to be of, for and by the People! The resistance clearly thought "They" had us in their back pocket, but one mam and his voters got in the way! God bless America! God bless our freedom! Can one even imagine living in the fascist country that Biden and the democrats would make for us? No freedom to say or do what we wished, no equal rights under the law? No economy? I agree with Carol and all the comments so far. President Trump said exactly the truth and those who don’t like it must be a hateful Democrat who cares nothing about America. We have a rich history of good and bad and I would say mostly great history. Patriots who fought and died so these haters can still have a voice. I absolutely loved his speech. His message was to all of us I felt rejuvenation and hope. The unrest and divide in our country has to stop. I felt he spoke to that and the history of our country. If you listened with unbiased ears and open heart you would of heard that too! Great fireworks display also!

I agree Carole. We have a very, VERY small group of people who haven’t had any responsibilities in life and think they know what life is all about. They have been protected by their parents and brainwashed by the Democrats, professors of leftist colleges to hate a country that has given them every right of freedom and they spit on it. These brats have NO idea how good they have it living in such a great country. We must stand up for what our men and women have fought for and many lost their lives fighting for our freedoms. I thought it was a beautiful speech and was perfect for the 4th of July. We should not erase our history, but learn from it and move on.
I didn’t think it decisive! In fact he was talking to the protesters there also! Letting them know what America stands for and what we won’t put up with! Sometimes by giving the true history of each person on Mount Rushmore is the only true history any one of them have learned! That’s his duty as President to let those who are intent on tearing us down to know there are consequences!!
