All you have to do is look at the 30 million Chinese people who died in his "Great Leap Forward".
I'm not surprised that a large percentage of voters (probably people in North America who have never actually studied the Chinese Revolution) have voted for the "mass murderer" line. Bizarre that Chang and Halliday's book could revive Dulles' old and unsubstantiated claims. Typical orientalism: people really need to read the actual scholarly work on Mao and the Chinese Revolution than parotting this neo-coldwar and racist crap.
