Case by case basis. There was once an immigrant type that appreciated the US freedom and way of life more than native Americans. That is too rare today so each applicant must be evaluated individually. Sadly, in today's atmosphere I would guess not many would pass this test, those that do, I would welcome.

I am a huge Trump supporter and a veteran. While in the military it was made known to me that “Legal non citizens” were allowed to join our military. So I guess if they are coming into our country legally, God bless them, let them serve as police.

Foreigners likely won't know and / or respect our constitutional rights especially if they don't show to them being non-citizens.
If you thought there might be a degree of some corruption in law enforcement agencies as is, I guarantee that this would only amplify it.
