FLAC is the best format for me, because it saves me the trouble of ripping the CD, which I have to do anyway because CDs degrade beyond usability in a few years.
Aside from practical matters, I can't really justify spending money on lossy formats like MP3, although I do appreciate their value for demo purposes.

yeah i also need a physical copy with a nice booklet and so on, i'm not much into digital downloads. 5.1 surround would be nice, but i think it's not that necessary...

CD, 192kb mp3 and flac are what i use
Pretty much a must for me to have the CD really, always feels better that way, but for downloads the MP3 192k is fine.
