what a load of rubbish!!if there is a gateway it would probably be the A10. just like chris braxton-jones as a WX resident I to have had no communication about the project until a leaflet/letter was delivered today.to my suprise they intend to install a play and activity zone directly behind my house.the alleyway behind my house is the only clean one on the estate because myself and 2 other residents maintain it.when we asked the councils/highway agency to clean the alley it fell upon deaf ears.if they cant even clean an alley how are they going to maintain what looks like multi million pound folly.the park is mainly used for dog walking and there appears to be no provision for dogs in the new plan.I doubt the area will be policed in any way,so I would give it a year before anything that is built is demolished by vandals and graffiti as has happened in the surrounding area.this park is narrow and flanked by houses on both sides,on one occasion a few years ago a group of about 20 lads decided to play football in the park behind my house.the niose level was very intrusive.all of my neighbours agreed it ruined our sunday and we could not even sit in our back gardens peacefully.in my opinion it should be left alone in the middle and any improvements should be made at the ends of the park where they are needed.we do not need any skate parks, football areas, targets or basketball courts in this park.its been tried before and it does not last 5 minutes.keep it green leave it alone.if anybody from the gateway project reads this I would like know why there was no information given to WX residents until now.apparently broxbourne council consulted local children and young people about a park that is used mainly for walking dogs .I am sure tax payers would rather see the money spent on affordable housing or service improvements.

not only is it a gateway to enfield it is also a gateway to waltham cross/broxbourne/herts. having lived both sides of the 'line' I am interested in this project and wonder why from the WX we have had no communication.
