Why do students not respond to professors unless directly asked a question?
Timid because of age difference
Timid because of professional position
Scared of sounding "stupid"
Scared of sounding "smart"
Scared of the professor in general
Questions are boring
It is too much effort to produce a response
I'm just here to get the final mark
I don't have any response to the question
I don't usually understand the question
Nobody ever asked us questions before
The professor already has an answer in mind
