Trust me tiger fans, lions are sooooooooo much more skillful at fighting than tigers, and even though lions are slightly smaller than the tiger, they are more powerful and they have GREAT stamina.Lions are born to fight, and anyway, the tiger is less muscular than the lion...it only looks like it's more muscular but it has a lot more fat than a lion, making it look bigger and stronger. One swift paw strike to a tiger from a lion and the tiger would probably back down from the fight...(it's a matter of opinion). You still have time to change your minds tiger fans, because everyone knows a lion is the king of beasts......

This probably has something to do with their evolution. And one more thing about the topic of habitat and lifestyle: What kind of prey the tiger and lion hunt. We already established that these animals do not bring hunting skills into a fight. But some people speculate that lions are stronger because they hunt huge buffalo, and tigers only hunt deer. Actually, tigers hunt the largest cattle in the world: the guar, and they have even been known to take down small Asian elephants. It takes a whole pride of lions to take down a large African elephant. This is looking pretty one-sided, isn't it?

The world is not all perfect and orderly like that; just because a male lion fights a lot and doesn't hunt much, does not mean that a tiger hunts and doesn't fight much. In fact, male lions DO hunt, and they do so very efficiently. And as for tigers, the truth is this: The average male tiger fights more over the coarse of his life than the average male lion. Tigers fight with other tigers, sometimes to the death, to win the heart of a female. And female tigers fight off hungry males to defend their cubs. The shrinking habitat of the tiger is causing even more battles over territory, battles that both tigers AND tigresses fight in. And there are many other animals that these cats fight with. Yeah the lion would win most of da battles. Why? He is much faster with 57-60% muscle. The siberian tiger is the biggest tiger beneath the bengal toger. They are a bit longer than lions but a lion has up to 20 cm bigger shoulder height. Tha siberian tiger has 27-50% fat, he needs it to survive in his cold area. Also a lion is much more battleproved, as already mentioned he plays fightinggames since he is born. The lion is born to kill, the tiger is born to stalk ^^. Lions have much more stamina because they don't have as much fat as a tiger. The lions used in Videos are most unexperienced, young asian lions, fighting against adult bengal tigers. Siberian tigers aren't as strong as bengal tigers, their limbs look bigger...because 5 cm of fat covers his muscle, take it away ant his limbs are 10 cm smaller...nothing compared to the lions'. I feel the Lion would win (given the same basic size and strength), because the Lion has so much more competition in Africa, than the Tiger has in India. The territory of Lion Prides tends to overlap for food and water. The competition is also fierce for Pride “Take-Over’s”, as well as from other predators such as ferocious Hyenas. In comparison, a Tiger’s life in India is almost domestic...

LMFAO, all the tiger fans on this site are really stupid :P!! A lion gets bigger and is stronger then a bengal and siberian tiger. Why? Because in the wild tigers make a kill every 2-4 times out of 20 tries and im being generous saying 2-4. A lion will make a kill every 8-9 times out of 20 tries. It doesnt matter if a lion has a pride cuz even nomade (lone) male and female lions will make more kills then tigers cuz its in the brain to hunt alot. Tigers can take down gaurs alone and lions can take down cape buffalo. Gaurs maybe alittle bigger then cape buffalo but cape buffalo are MUCH more aggressive so lions are in more danger when hunting then tigers. Also lions fight more and are better fighters because they have to protect a WHOLE pride and can fight to the death alot more often. Tigers dont fight that much at all because one injury will cost its life. Lion wins most of the time if not all the time.
