I have been producing Video News Releases (VNRs) for 20 years and I know they can have a huge impact. But I have to respectfully disagree with the premise that "Video has become extremely cheap to create and produce with video camera’s (sic) as low as a few hundred dollars..." The cost of video production has never been contingent on the cost of the equipment. The main cost is time... time to write a good script, to plan the shoot, to prepare the people appearing on-camera, to light and shoot the scenes properly and to do a good job on the editing. If you want a professional job, hire a professional. Just because a video is cheap it doesn't mean it's going to do the right job... in fact it could be counter-productive and damage a client's credibility.
