To be hoenst I kinda look forward to the SM tweets ...
i have shed loads of work on so if it wasn't for SM and others on Twitter I'd be missing out on alot.
As said at the top of these replies it really is down to quality not quantity ... if ppl don't like it they can unfollow and access SM info the "old skool" way through the web
Your tweet level is just about perfect now. I am a new Twitter user, and try to follow sources who have something valuable, helpful, insightful or just interesting to say. I've already cut loose a few tweeters who, while offering some good info, generated about a 6-10 meaningless IM twitters for every useful gem they generated--too much noise. The "talking to all" model is the best, I believe, especially for a site like yours. The output is fine too, as is the quality. Keep up the good work.
I need your tweets to break up the deluge of tweets that come from some of my more prolific friends (@unmarketing and @jamieharrop for example) ... and your tweets always lead to interesting stuff. If I only had 10 tweeps in my twitter flock I might feel slightly different :-)
as long as you keep those good quality posting habits, it is more than ok to tweet about them. who don't like the frequency you tweet is free to unfollow you :)
I really appreciate the little doses of Smashing Mag throughout my day. Plus, some of the questions asked through twitter really get me thinking! It's fine the way it is. Tweet more if you'd like! :)
It's not about how often you tweet, it's about the quality contained within those tweets. I find SM to be, for the most part, high quality tweets and therefore a high volume is acceptable.
You mean "fewer" tweets? Yes.
It is perfect the way it is. I have discovered many useful resources thanks to your twits.

I think that for SM that amount of tweets is exactly what i need. Most of them are good and informative tweets.
I agree with Sunira :)

I want the SM tweets as quick tips on the website instead..
I'd say less thank-you tweets. Other than that all the tweets are quality!
