All of the nominations for what is supposed to be the most coveted award in acting are a huge cluster (explicative deleted). To not have the second highest grossing movie of all time nominated? To not have one of Eastwoods greatest preformances ever nominated? For Wall-e to be looked over only to be stuck in a animated movie catagory when it got better reviews than any of the other movies nominated for best picture. All these things equal a train wreck of moronic fools who must have been on a great LSD trip when they made their votes. I have lost all faith in the academy... its now on the same as the collegiate bowl system in my eyes.
Slumdog Millionaire is a rarety. Its time we stop, breathe deeply and look over the fence. There is really a world out there. And inevitable we will be come part of that world. We can either crawl back inot our tortoise shell in denial or run the fuzziness off our lens. Its better to get bitten in the ass when we expect it rather when not.
All these vote seem to be for the most popular people at the moment. People need to get their heads out of the "Rags" and maybe the votes would not look so wrong!
One of the BEST movies this year was Clint Eastwood's. He was awesome. WHY was he passed over? The Oscars have become so political ... I don't care if I even watch them anymore.
