A nervy bunch of liberals and conservatives who think that disagreement, dialog and discernment of fact make for a good dialog, good country and a good time.

Fundamental to democracy: The idea that we Citizens control Our electoral process. Two process need thorough discussion and implementation: "Clean Money, Clean Elections" (we don't control what we don't pay for.) The only way our elected representatives will be free of the control imposed on them by those who fund their election/reelection campaigns is for the people to fund the cost of running a campaign. It is the only way they will be completely, totally and unequivocally answerable to "We The People"; and, second, a redistricting procedure controlled by the Electorate not the Legislature. It is human nature to seek control over the environment one finds oneself in; a personal security issue. Thus, the current system of allowing the legislature to control the redistricting process results in the existing near "O" competition for legislative seats.

As currently configured, these two process in no way provide for the Security of the Peoples Democracy. This must change if we are ever to have control over our future as a Democratic Republic
