The constitution was written for the people to hold the government accountable. Free speech is just that, you may not agree with what is said but you have the option of discussing it further or walk away.

Where her comments really are short-sighted…most ‘rebuttals’ to the government positions were/are actually more accurate than what is/was fed by government ‘experts’.

The founding fathers wrote the Constitution to protect our lives, liberty and freedoms. However, most of all to protect us from a tyrannical government, which would include “overreach” by the government. This exactly what the government did during Covid! Which bus we know they lied to us, caused loss of jobs, businesses, health, etc. Never again should “We the People” allow this to happen to us, ergo We do not allow them to change, add to, or stomp on the first amendment!

Two words - government overreach! The constitution is the constitution. Let it be that!

For over nearly 240 years our Constitution has stood until the Left Progressive/Democrats/Communist and anti Christian and others under this current administration is trying to and are in some circumstances changing our country for the worse.

The federal government does not have the right to control are speech under any circumstance. Our bill of rights to limit government’s power. She might need to go back to law school.

The First Amendment does infringe on the power of the federal government. That is why it is there! Our federal government does not have the right to have absolute power to control the message.

1A could not be any more clear. The govt cannot limit speech. Period. If the founding fathers thought exceptions were necessary they would have included that in 1A. The constitution sets rules and limitations for the govt, not the people. The govt certainly is not the arbiter of truth.

The constitution is the rulebook for the government not a whimsical sorting of when they feel like it the first amendment is first for a reason

    Exactly what Tinabeana stated!

  • TinaBeana - 6 weeks ago

That’s the entire point of our Bill of Rights - to limit the government’s power. KBJ needs to go back to law school and retake Constitutional Law..
