I will watch any movie by Mr Eastwood. He's just so great. Can't get enough of his characterisations. Best movie_The Unforgiven
I love just about everything Mr. Eastwood has done, but his "Walt" in Gran Torino exhibits a depth you would expect from McBeth or Hamlet. His anger and cynicism come from his awareness that America has become superficial and spoiled. In his Hmong neighbors his ostensibly racist sharacter discovers, "I have mote in common with these people than my own family." Could there be a more ironic example of Martin Luther King's goal to have it be character and not race or enthnicity or religion that we look to in others? This is not just a really entertaining movie, it is important. See it!
