I have NEVER cooked any Come Dine with Me recipes before, BUT, I do like the sound of Phil Davies' Roasted Red Pepper Soup. I might adapt it slightly (or more!) though as it needs more garlic and chilli (IMHO). We like our food very gutsy and full of flavour :-)

Aubergine and Spinach curry was great - and we're not even vegetarian.

  • jacqui - 2 years ago

I made the Aubergine & Spinach curry and for dessert the Vegan chocolate mousse, both were really nice and made a change as i usually eat meat and dairy.

  • Natasha - 2 years ago

I would only make one of their recipies if it looked like i was going to enjoy it, i'd rather go for one done by Gino D'Acampo!!!!!!!!!!!! But great show, great show!

  • Jay - 2 years ago

YES white chocolate and rasberry terrigne! Yum yum

  • Mando Inuncio - 2 years ago

I know who you are Katrina, you cannot fool Mando. The Employer will be most dissatisfied with your attempts to hide from us. I am afraid that I must draw to your attention the existence of some outstanding bills, of course the Employer had expected repayment on the 25th of this month however the Employer is not an unreasonable man, full payment by midnight tonight should prevent any sort of unfortunate incidents.

I made the bacon wrapped chicken breasts like one of the posters above and WOW!! did I enjoy them! My partner Louise got me to make them every night that week (after she failed with her first attempt!!) and they are now a regular feature of thursday night dinner time. I must say I am glad other people enjoy the programme as much as me! I thought I might be the odd one finding the show the perfect antidote to hectic modern life but judging by the comments of others above people from all manner of backgrounds are capable of getting passionate, defensive, excited and outraged by the diners and their recipes! Long live Come Dine!

I must voice my displeasure at the nature of conversation on this forum. I think people ought to think of the children more before posting such vulgar invitations. This country is going to ruin for two reasons; the decline of the dinner party and low turnout at church. I intend to put a stop to this with my church themed evenings entitled "Communion with Mark Pope". Contact me for some excellent food, fit for a last supper and stimulating theological conversation. I do not wish to invite those making sexual invitations, only the pure diners

Billy there you are! I didn't think I would find you anywhere! I'm afraid to have to inform you that your latest viagra shipment has become stuck in Nigeria due to a mix-up with a dog and a Mexican. I am dreadfully sorry but it doesn't look as though the pills will arrive for some considerable time. I feel I must also apologise to Ethel for this turn of events, as the promised encounter appears to be but pie in the sky.

  • Billy Lumley - 2 years ago

Christ almighty what have I got myself into! If I'm honest I prefer my own company despite my darker moments out here on the moor. Brahms, a bottle of wine and my Esther Rantzen album is my idea of the perfect dinner party, so I turn down your culinary and sexual invitations! With the exception of Ethel, whom I would like to ask round for some technical instructions on boiling eggs

  • Philip Elsworth - 2 years ago

I am sorry for offending you Sandra, however I must inform you that "come dine with me" is code word for swingers. I understand the confusion due to the similarities with a popular channel 4 show. I hope this has cleared up any confusion and that you shan't think me vulgar.
    Are you free tonight Ethel?

  • Sandra Bullock - 2 years ago

Perhaps we are being too hasty Philip, I only wished to discuss culinery disasters with you, yet here you are suggesting we enter into sexual relationships witha third party! I feel as though you have betrayed my trust and must rule myself out of any further sexual practice. I am sorry it must end this way Philip, but i feel that we can no longer carry on like this.

  • Ethel Hardrada - 2 years ago

Sounds like some people have had some right disasters! I reckon you lot should all come dine round my place. I'll show you how to cook and we can make sweet love on the decking outside overlooking the sheep in the field. My word I haven't felt the touch of a man in a while, so Billy, Phillip, I await your acceptance of my invitation... Steak and chips, served with rumpy pumpy sauce and a side of ass?

  • Philip Elsworth - 2 years ago

    Billy, threesome?

  • Billy Lumley - 2 years ago

I love Come Dine With Me! Sadly no one ever seems to want to dine with me, so I must make do with watching the varied personalities do culinary battle on the show. I don't know what I would do without it during my weekends alone here with only the cherry tree to look at. I did once attempt a recipe from the show but I don't think I will again. I sympathise with the gentleman above who had an accident with his greyhound, as my parrot suffered a similar fate.

  • Philip Elsworth - 2 years ago

Sandra, your offer of meeting up has greatly excited me, perhaps I should send a picture of my sexy body to you?

  • Sandra Bullock - 2 years ago

Philip! At last I have found another individual who suffered the same terrible fate, albeit my husband and not my dog. But I too shall never forgive myself for feeding that undercooked nightshade to my partner! Perhaps we should meet up and dicuss our terrible culinery experiences.

  • Philip Elsworth - 2 years ago

I once cooked a "come dine with me" recipe, however i failed to correctly read the recipe resulting in the death of my dearly beloved grey hound. I shall miss good old Stanley, he would never hurt a fly.

  • Julia - 2 years ago

I made white chocolate and citrus mouse minus the citrus, lol it was easy and AMAZING!! Defenitly do it again :)

  • Linda Green - 2 years ago

I watch the show almost every weekend. I made the bacon wrapped chicken breasts with riccota and spinach which was made special for one guest because the original recipe was stuffed with hagus.I didn't get the recipe but made my own version. My husband liked it so much I made it 3 times that week.

  • Deborah Burns - 2 years ago

WOW!!! Just made Tangy Tomato & Fish Curry and it is the most delicious meal I have had for quite some time. I replaced Cod with Ling, worked really well. I believe the amount of fish is incorrect on the recipe 2kgs!! - 2lb is sufficient. Beautiful dish served with Olive Bread. WOW!!!

Done lots of recipes from various seasons mostly with success chicken stuffed with haggis was particularly good. Does anyone know why I can't get Ed from Halifax (last weeks series)recipes. It says because of copywrite reasons.Have'nt come across this before.

  • Clarice - 2 years ago

I am in the middle of trying Rachel's Lamb tagine, I have been dreaming about it all week, never had it before but looks ands sounds very tasty!
I have tried a few recipes - the show is fab and always makes me want to try something more adventurous than the same old boring teas! Long live come dine with me!

  • Julie - 2 years ago

I'm going to have a go at Bruces (Les) Chicken tonight as we love Blackpudding. I looked at Roys and on the program his Blackpudding Bacon and poach egg starter has been changed here on the website and the black pudding has been replaced with potato... When I come to make it I will use Blackpudding... yummy

  • RACH - 2 years ago

I did Phil Oliviers chicken liver pate, I added tooo much garlic, my own fault I love garlic, but it turned out well and you could cut it. I looked and looked for his recipie, but there was an alternative. Why didnt they use his recipie?
