I always vote for the least dangerous to our country. Fiscal responsibility and terratorial protection. Most of the time that is a hard choice. That turns out to be Republican more often than Democrat.

Why would anyone with a brain and a mind of their own allow somebody else do their thinking for them? Aligning oneself with a defined set of political thoughts does not allow rational thought about what is the best course for an individual or country. A great number of people support a position just because their particular party says that this is the way they are supposed to think and believe. The dogma expressed by either major party is not necessarily in the best interest of our country but more in the interest of promoting policy that does not meet the needs of people at any given point in our lives.
I prefer to do my own thinking to come up with the best solution available in MY opinion. That leaves me free to consider all sides of an issue to determine which would be the best for me and my country in MY opinion. There is not one perfect person on this Earth so we should all look at the best fit for our needs. Above all we should always look for the best leader we can find. That leader will not be all things to all people, but at least that leader will try to do what is best for this country. The main problem is that we tend to act on emotion rather than rational thought. Where have I heard that concept before? Let rationality prevail.
