The photo is misleading, as the gentleman is holding the rabbit with its feet extended toward the camera, making it look far larger than it really is.
However, Flemish Giants, Continental Giants, French and English Lops can all reach the 18-20 pound range with reasonable ease. Most are quite personable and not the least frightening.
As always, health is paramount, not size or weight--so should you acquire one of these wonderful rabbits, feed an intelligently-selected pelleted diet and keep them in good condition.
