    Carver's early special week nights and all evening on Sunday is the best deal for excellent food in Dayton. The prime rib is the greatest! The atmosphere and service are always excellent.

    Best food quality and selections have consistently been at CARVER's! We have also been impressed with the service and ambiance of the restaurant and recently had the opportunity to meet the owner, Ed, who prides himself on running such a successful establishment. Well deserved!

  • My husband & I (along with 3 golden retrievers) travel through Ohio on our way to our home in Mexico every year. We routinely stay in the same place so we can make Carvers our destination eating spot.

    Last year on our way back to Canada we had our reservations in place and I had praised the Prime Rib to my husband. We were terribly disappointed to find out they had no more Prime Rib.

    The chef came out and apologized, gave us his business card and told us to contact him directly just prior to our return trip and he would "reserve" Prime Rib for us. We made a reservation, requested the Prime Rib and when we arrived we were greeted by a wonderful hostess who lead us to a romantic table. The chef came out personally to speak with us and we were so pleased to find he had indeed set aside two prime ribs for us. It seems all of the staff in our designated seating area had been advised that there were two cuts of meat with our name on them.

    As usual we had an incredible meal, a fabulous bottle of wine to compliment the beef and top notch service. We have visited 7 times now and are looking forward to our return visit in May as we head back to Canada.

    Very positive note, the staff have remembered we have 3 goldens in our hotel room and they send home huge, meaty bones for them. They have also won the hearts of our "kids".

    I have been in the hospitality industry for over 39 years, owning and operating a restaurant and a fine dining catering business, and I DO appreciate the special details, exceptional service, and incredible food.

    Whenever we want to mark an important occasion, we head to Carver's. Can't beat it for quality of food, service, and atmosphere. It's our favorite by far.

    We eat at several of the south Dayton restaurants and Carvers is definitely one of our favorites. The menu is more estensive that most and their steaks and Prime Rib are great.

    We have been going to Carvers for 12 years and never once have had anything less than a fabulous experience. The service, the decor, the music, and the FILET, all wonderful. Can't be beat!
