I would love and extra $5k, however it would be best suited to bringing down the debt for future generations.
In exchange sure they could come up w an incentive ( reduced taxes) for the working, along w something for military ( incl vets) and seniors.
This reduces handouts to those who spend their days boycotting and protesting Trump/DOGE.

I voted yes, I don’t know of anyone you could not put $5,000 to good use.
However; I have a problem with any Registered Democrats, getting a check- They voted for the Administration that allocated the transaction. And continue to disrupt any investigations. Just my thoughts

Yes. It's the tax payer's money, isn't it? So the rebate should only go to taxpayers, not those people who have been receiving goverment handouts for years.

Yes, but did you notice he said 20% for rebate and 20% for payoff. Where is the other 60%going to go?

It doesn’t matter either way to me however Biden thought it a good idea to pay off student loans!!!!!with out hard earned money and it was a lot more than $5,000!!!
So on that note I say yes give us some of our money back why not? It was ours in the first place just saying!!!!

I’ve worked since I was 15 years old and even though a couple thousand extra dollars in my bank account is a nice idea.. I think we need to focus on getting the debt paid down first. Since Obama took office in 2008, the government has been using our money for shady deals and enriching our POLITICIANS..all the while disregarding the needs of AMERICAN CITIZENS! I think it’s time we investigate EVERY POLITICIAN (and THEIR SPOUSES) who have gone from $100,000 in their accounts to $80 million (during their time as “public servants”) AND recoup our money back from the corrupt politicians! Then ADD THAT to bringing down the country’s debt! THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING IT AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR HELPING PAY IT! We’d have it PAID OFF in no time!????????????????????????????????

Pay it towards the debt or use it to help the disaster areas from Helene in North Carolina/ Tennessee and the wildfire victims in California.

Either way is really ok with me, pay down the debt or share some with the people. I live on SS so it would be a nice help, but I don’t pay taxes on my SS because it is so low, so I don’t know if I would qualify.

Yes! As long as they have taken a lot of it and paid down the debt! And give those of us existing barely on social security the same amount as those still paying taxes!! We have been struggling!! They have discovered massive amounts and take back the money that was laundered back into the accounts of those in government and to the deep state!! Soros for instance and Gates etc!!

I think they should give the taxpayer some money because the corrupt politicians on both sides will just ring up the debt again

I would rather see government take all money saved and apply it to our debt….no more handouts until debt is paid.

It would be nice if Social Security recipients received one as too. Some of us haven't made enough to pay taxes. But we have paid our dues.
