While I think other things are ultimately more important than taxes, the government's answer to fix things is always to throw money at it. In other words, taking our money away from us so they take our ability to choose how it should be spent. The answer to most of the other problems can be solved more productively if government is held more responsible for wise and thrifty expenditure of funds and people are given more opportunities to solve their own problems with hard work and volunteer cooperation.
