I don't know where I stand on this issue. My main concern is how will a change to state sales tax replacing income tax affect those on a fixed income but who are still above poverty level? An income tax you can anticipate. With a sales tax you can't anticipate and will it take more from those on a fixed income than a combination sales/income tax system would? I am getting ready to retire and my retirement amount will be basically the same for the rest of my life.
