My first time out on the track was counter-clockwise, running with The Motofit Group. I fell in love with the track right away. I rode the track again over the 4th of July weekend, this time clockwise. I never really felt "the groove" running clockwise.
Counter-clockwise is more technical, but at the same time it felt easier to carry speed. My favorite passing zones were on the brakes going downhill after the straight, and heading into turn five after yet another downhill. Clockwise, those two sections are uphill, which lends to horsepower having the advantage.
I'll run the track in either direction, but counter-clockwise has my vote for the most fun. Safety-wise, if everyone on the track uses their brains, counter-clockwise is no more dangerous. Blending into traffic actually seems safer counter-clockwise simply because there's more track to work with before a corner. Clockwise, track entrance is pretty much right on top of turn 1. Riders wanting to run a wide entrance into turn one, often at high speeds coming off the straight, have to deal with slow track-entrance traffic.

I have driven the track in both directions, and found CCW to be very exciting. I hope it can be ran in that direction, safely of course. Many time safety is in the hands of the drivers (or foot) if ya know what I mean. Safety starts inside the helmet. Either direction is challenging and I look forward to racing on this great track.

I have driven on it CW and really enjoyed it. I have a concern about safety trying to run a course in two different directions. In the CCW direction, the hot pit or staging area just off of the course down that hill becomes a target for somebody getting injured. Safety barriers IMO can only be made safe in one direction. Remember the bicyclist that died at PIR because they were running it backwards? How do you intend to make openings in the safety barriers yet make it work both directions? I dont see how that is possible. Also, the corner stations would most likely need to be in different locations for best control of the course in the different directions.

I have run it both ways and I like CW better. Going CCW their are two corners that are left off camber with a seam running through them that I saw 3 people eat it in one day.

I’m really looking forward to the CCW safety issues being addressed so that we can run it that way more often. Why not have a track that you can run both ways? CW flows better but CCW is more technical which shows you who the better riders are. Opening up the CCW direction is just going to be one more thing about this track that makes it better than the rest.

I actually would not be all that iterested in riding the counter direction at all. my two cents worth.

I mwatched both video's. Although it apears that the clockwise track is more technical the ccw track apears to be faster. I think it would be fun to run a double race weekend with the on race cw and the other ccw.
