To serve as the location for the long-awaited Blue Lagoon prequel/reboot.
A better tourism campaign than those weak Ajira Airlines posters
A cocktail named after it. Preferably with ten kinds of fruit juice, vodka and tequila in it.
Some kind of plantation, with a lucrative cash crop. Like drugs. Or sugar. Or sugary drugs.

It wants you to keep watching the show. They haven't thought any farther ahead than that. They plan to just keep dragging it on and for as a long as people will watch and advertisers will pay. Follow one mystery down a rabbit hole until the answer is just around the corner then...
