I spent 2 days creating my video submission, it was nice because it was quality time with my daughter and we had fun doing it. What was nicer was to present my wife the gift of our production and the possibility that she might win the contest. I have to say that I am very disappointed that the contest winner is not based on the merits of the video submission, but the number of ‘votes’. This does not seem to be a contest at all. While votes are nice, especially verified ones, judges should also be part of the equation.
wow, what a piss poor implementation for a voting system -- everyone can just open hundreds of browser tabs and vote for themselves over and over again with fake email addresses... you guys really thought this one through. The winner isn't the one with the best video, but the one who has the patience to vote for themselves all night long with fake emails....
