Carrie Prejean is a great role model for all America. She said what she beleived even though most people may have crumbled under that kind of question due to fear of persecution from liberal media and anyone else who does'nt agree with her. Also, they need to prescreen judges, so as to stop this kind of ttack from happening to anymore beauty pageant contestents. I disagree with Donald Trump, as it is very wrong to let judge # 8 be a judge again. He has proven to all that he can't keep his own personal oppinions out of the pageant. He harrassed Carrie Prejean and gave her low and very
discriminiatory marks because of the question she had no control over. I don't think Judge #8 should get to walk away without any consequences; he should have some sort of punishment for his actions of harrassing Carrie for her oppinion on a loaded question.

As of today, I have a new found respect for Donald Trump. As a Christian, I am so proud of Carrie Prejean for standing up for her Christian beliefs under the "persecution" exhibited by Perez Hilton and the liberal press. Carrie also shows the Christian way by forgiving those who have maligned her. And as the Bible says in Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." I pray to God that I can stick to my Christian convictions under any and all circumstances as Carrie Prejean has done. As a side comment, I do not think she should have ever posed semi nude for whatever reason.

I totally agree with Bob Connors.
I just want to add: Where is the condemation of Perez Hilton on this matter? He doesn't represent the gay community with this. He is a far, far, left, Charles Mansion type! He is unstable!!!
Since when do we recognize unstable people like this and demean a person like Carrie?
Next thing we know Bin Laden will object to the Christians in America and everyone who supported Hilton will jump up and down and support him.
Oops, he already does object Christianity and ummm...I bet you that many so called Americans would jump on Bin Ladens bandwagon also!!
This man should have been given no attention and therefore power after he said what he did after the pagent.
Donald, I realize exactly what you were doing when you said you would invite him back to judge. I also understand that you were trying to stay in the middle. You won't invite this person back to judge. But I think you could have at least broke away from your comfort zone and toild the truth.

  • Ginger - 3 years ago

Kudos to Trump. Miss Prejean, you are a great American. You stated your beliefs and stood by them regardless of the conscquences. Perez Hilton, who the heck are you? I mean do you have any talent other than being gay?

  • Fred Cartwright - 3 years ago

I think Miss California should never have recieved a third place vote for
swim wear. Each time I see that on Fox she is number one in swimwear.
I didn't see any more of it.
Now for Susie and the others with differing opinion that me should be kicked
    off of this blog. Haha.

Carrie spoke up and stood up for her beliefs. If she was to lose her crown because of her beliefs THAT is discrimination! The judge was trying to bully her and promote his own political agenda. He is obviously biased and had discriminated against Carrie by his low scores. It cost Carrie the Miss USA crown.
As an American, she has the right to her own beliefs and when she was asked a question, she truthfully answered. She did not use the stage as a platform, but only answered the question when asked by a judge. Perez Hilton obviously was using his judge's position to further his agenda.
More Americans need to stand up for their beliefs and not succumb to fear of losing a job or public ridicule.
I wish more public figures exhibited the strength of character that Carrie and Donald exhibited.

  • Brad - 3 years ago

I too am very happy that she has retained her crown and that she stood up for her believes. The quiet majority, which are Christians, are tired of being attacked for our believes. However, if she had answered that QUESTION the other way (pro gay marriage) none of this would have happened. This just shows the hypocrisy of this gay movement.

  • MO - 3 years ago

I am so pleased with the decision to leave Miss California with her crown. She absolutely has been maligned in the media, and had she answered the question the way "Judge #8" wanted, meaning pro same sex marriage, none of this would have happened of course, not the photo's not anything negative. He would have been as happy as a lamb. So glad they saw through this and did what needed to be done. She gave a truthful honest answer and if we cannot stand up for what we believe in, then what kind of a world are we living in?

  • Michael Barrett - 3 years ago

I agre with Bob Connors Perez had his own agenda and should be barred from judging any event. Carrie in my opinion would have won the paegent if it were not for a gay activist.

  • Julian - 3 years ago

Paris Hilton has no right to be a judge in a Miss USA contest. For crying out loud, what does he know about women. He's a foul mouthed queer.

  • the_voice - 3 years ago

At this point, the Donald should review the inflammatory and hateful statements made by Perez Hilton and announce that he will not be returning as a judge in any future pageants. His sexist statements and outright lies have done more to hurt the integrity of the pageant than anything Carrie Perjean has or could ever say about gay marriage.

  • JOY - 3 years ago

DONALD TRUMP IS MY HERO! CARRIE SHOULD KEEP HER CROWN SHE DID NOTHING WRONG . PEREZ ADKED THE QUESTION, AND SHE ANSWERED ACCORDING TO HER BELIEFS, IF HE WANTED THE ANSWER HE WAS LOOKING FOR THEN HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A JUDGE AT A GAY PAGENT! NOT THAT CARRIE SHOULD HAVE BEEN BASHED .

  • tina from texas - 3 years ago

I know donald Trump would love to have Perez Hilton return as a judge next year but, honesty I am so past watching and listening to bad behaving and foul mouth people like him. I have better things to do. If he is a judge next year, I will not be watching.

  • Bob Connors - 3 years ago

It seems to me that everyone is avoiding the real story here. A beauty contestant was viscously attacked by a gay activist judge who set her up for his own gay agenda. In light of that fact; how did a girl-phobic, Paris Hilton want-a-be, get to be a judge in a beauty pageant? Why is Trump getting a pass for inviting Perez Hilton a.k.a Mario Armando Lavandeira back for next year putting another young lady at risk of these viscous attacks.? Fox would be wise to go after these questions.

  • PEGGY J. FORNEY - 3 years ago

WHAT A GREAT STRONG GIRL. HOW PROUD OUR FAMILY IS OF YOUR STRENGTH AND STANDING UP FOR WHAT YOUR BELIEVE IN.
DONALD TRUMP, WE'RE ALSO PROUD OF YOU FOR YOUR STAND ON THIS
FOR THIS WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL SMART LADY. MAKES US PROUD TO BE
    AN AMERICAN.

  • Brenda - 3 years ago

I am glad this is finally over. It was totally uncalled for. She was asked a question and answered it honestly. Everyone has a right to their opinion, even public figures. People should not be punished for believing in what that were taught in their upbringing.

  • Vic - 3 years ago

It's about time that freedom of speech is extended to conservative beliefs. I applaud Donald Trump for his decision and have a new found respect for him.

  • Jennifer - 3 years ago

I believe Mr. Trump made the right decision today. Did everyone in the press forget that we have free speech in this country? They certainly excersise that right. Mr. Trump was correct in telling the press that they should be ashamed of themselves. It's about time someone did.

  • Drene Dineen - 3 years ago

I believe she gave an honest, articulate speech. She had great deal of emotion that indicated she believes in her rights to freedom of speech that our country established in the constitution. I loved when Donald Trump told the press they should be ashamed of themselves!!!! Not a big Donald fan, but I am now. Question...why does the left always have the right to their opinions, but us conservatives are not. Dorene Dineen Omaha Ne

  • stella - 3 years ago

I have 3 beautiful girls and I have always taught them to stand up for
their beliefs and values. isn't that what all parents want for their children.
Also I always believed that is what Miss USA stood for. We are not in the
middle East where woman are told what to say or do. We are in America
where we are suppose to applaud a woman for standing strong on her opinion.
Donald trumps decision gave me a higher respect for the pageant.
Also Miss Prejean is so beautiful she should have won the title!

  • Michael Barrett - 3 years ago

I agree the right decision was made. I feel very sorry for Carrie having to go through all of this nonsense. I also agree with Mr. Trump stating the media is responsible for this kind of stuff.
For crying out loud Bill Clinton had an affair in the White House and he kept his title.

I also agree with Carrie and her beliefs on marriage. IT SHOULD BE BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN... A that is how I will raise my children.

We Love you Carrie and god bless you.
    Stay strong!!!!

  • Sylvia Acuna - 3 years ago

Let us hope she can answer the question that is asked of her. Also, let us
hope she can answer a question in a way that is represented of the U.S. and not in a way that only represents a group of U.S. Citizens.

  • cindy - 3 years ago

donald made the right decision, but keeping perez the moron as a judge means I will never view the show again. hopefully others will not either. the young woman is a christian and apparently in this country now we do not have free speech. although it appears everyone else does.

  • Erik Kauffman - 3 years ago

She's a strong girl, and Donald is a tough and fair guy. I take my hat off to both of them. The majority is on her side, I guarantee it. Christians must unite in times like these, the one thing the government can't take is our beliefs, but they sure are trying to take everything else.

  • geri - 3 years ago

p.s. President Obama was show half clothed also. Where is the press?

  • SamM - 3 years ago

Unfortunately people seem to be losing their right to voice their opinion unless they are siding with minorities. Carrie should have said that she was on the same side of the issue as President Obama. That would have ended all complaints.

  • Sarah - 3 years ago

Miss California's honest and correct response to an awkward question clearly points out that this once up-standing nation has evolved into a country full to the brim with people who are unprincipled.

  • tina from texas - 3 years ago

The news media seems to be the problem with Carrie Prejean. Their agenda is to try and ruin a person who does not agree with their liberal views. Thank goodness Donald Trump was in charge of the news release.

  • Dodie Scott - 3 years ago

I would have expected Donald Trump to decide in the affirmative.....Had he not done so....I would have been totally disappointed in him. America should be so proud of Carrie for standing up for her beliefs.

  • Geri - 3 years ago

Why didn't any reporters ask the question if there will be any penalities for the judge who continued his indecent ranting about the issue after the pagent was over. He should never be allowed to judge anything ever again. If anyone hires him to judge I'll make sure I don't watch as american's are not allowed to have their opinion and he is always right. Finally, someone brought up the fact the President Obama has the exact same view why isn't he being attacked?????? ask the media that question?????

  • Spencer - 3 years ago

My hat is off to Mr Trump and the Pageant people for finally putting an end to this nonsense and for doing the right thing,,,, The question should never have been asked in the first place, Miss Prejean is to also be congratulated for her strength of conviction and her poise while under fire during this witch hunt,,,
Lets face it the country has much more important matters to fix than to worry if gays can marry or not,,

  • Erik Kauffman - 3 years ago

She's done nothing wrong. If she believes traditional marriage is right, then that's her choice. I happen to agree with her 100%
But I have to wonder why this is getting so much attention? This is a ONLY a beauty pageant for pete's sake, and in a day of nuclear threats, global warming (supposedly) terrorism, and an economy in shambles because Obama's administration is making it worse, WHO CARES??? The sad thing in this country is that most likely more people know about this pageant than are aware that government control is going to ruin all our lives.

  • Rose Marie Rose - 3 years ago

Carrie Prejean has a right to have her beliefs and to stand up for what she belives. If she had lost her title as Miss California, that would have been a sad day for the United States of America and the First Amendment. I am proud of Donald Trump and the decision for Miss Prejean not to lose her title and crown.

  • Eric Wilkens - 3 years ago

It's about time the silent majority spoke up. Did we all forget about our free speech rights?

  • Susie - 3 years ago

I'm glad she will continue as Miss Calif. However, as a sister Christian woman I am disappointed in her decision to pose partially clothed. This is not "modesty" per the bible. So, perhaps Christian females should consider a career other than modeling, if these types of pictures are required to enter that field. Go girl!
Remember, two cities long ago were destroyed because of homosexuality!

  • Bubbalouie - 3 years ago

Carrie Perjean is being attacked because SHE IS A CHRISTIAN!!!!! Very simple, but not being said.
