Those who vote for no new taxes (revenue for the state) aren't paying attention. Your state government is in dire straits, fiscally. The current proposal would make drastic cuts to the education and human services budgets--programs that support the civil society we all want to live in--and the only way out is to bring more dollars into government. Without state support, we will soon be awash in the problems associated with insufficient education and untreated mental health cases everywhere. It won't be pretty.
