The elections in Iran were clearly rigged. Anyway, it does not even matter who won, since in that country it is the Ayatollahs, not the presidents, who make all the decisions. Totalitarian regimes these days love to mask themselves as democracies (the Soviet regime did it for 73 years), yet we all know what these regimes really are. Iran used to be a good country once, before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, when it was ruled by the Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, a friend of the United States and a progressive ruler who gave women the right to vote. And look at the Iranian regime now! A fundamentalist, totalitarian, terror-sponsoring regime whose president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, called for Israel to be wiped off the map, called America a satan, and denies Holocaust. And now this regime wants to go nuclear! Talk about the danger to our national security! I hope Iranian people will soon successfully overthrow that regime, which had no place in the 21st century.
