Would you leave your child with a stranger at the door? Even for 5 minutes? Really? Not I. Anyway, if it's that important to you, you'll find a way. She must have had a neighbor or a family member to watch the child for a lousy hour it would take to vote. If people are aware of the rules beforehand, they can comply. They should have made it clear from the start, or they should have allowed the child in.

NAZI Gerrmany was all about rules. Voting is a matter of ethics. Why didn't someone volunteer to take care of the child for the five or so minutes until Mom was done? Democracy is a matter of mutual support. Rules are important, but the right values supersede all rules. Denying someone to vote is just undemocratic.
