What do you think of the idea of a CBIO reporting to the CEO?

• BI should be an IT department (abeit business-focussed), no change is necessary and having a CIO and a CBIO is one too many technical leaders.

• BI would work better as part of a more numerically-focussed department such as Finance.

• BI will increasingly outsourced, or delivered as SaaS, so why do we need a CBIO?

• Maybe this will happen in some organisations at some point in the next 5-10 years.

• I see this already beginning to happen in some organisations.

• BI should be part of the Change function and doesn't need a senior figure-head such as a CBIO.
