it's about what you are looking for in the two bands.
If you are looking for things that boil down to PERSPECTIVES like handsome-looking, entertaining, boring or not, personal charms, can make you laugh, can make your heart melt or whatever else, then it's up to any of the two because everything appeals differently to every individual.
but if we are talking about ACTUAL TALENTS here with comparing categories like singing ability, dancing ability, acting ability etc. then it's tohoshinki that wins. it's obvious.
about their lack of activities in the acting department, i have to account it to the differences in sm and je's marketing strategy. you never see sm singers really having acting as a large proportion of their careers. exlcuding kim kibum in recent years lol.
type "je cant sing" and you see pages and pages of rants about them. this is not built up over one night in an attempt to frame their artistes but an accumulation over a long time. type "tohoshinki cant sing" and you dont see anything like that. go try it out.
but then again, it's really up to what factors you are looking for to find the group that you will support.

Comparing Tohoshinki to Arashi is like comparing Angelina Jolie to a girl next door. This person Yuki's comment that Tohoshinki cannot dance is ridiculous! Dance wise Tohoshink is WAYYYYYY much better than Arashi. Compared to Tohoshinki, Arashi is like kid jumping around, not really dancing. Single..well I dont have say anything. Tohoshinki's singing melts people's heart. Arashi, NOT one of them can sing! That's a fact!! Objective. This person Yuki comment is stupid and ridiculously WRONG!

guys... guys... the poll only asks, "tvxq/tohoshinki or arashi?" it does not ask who's more handsome/talented/best dancer/best singer/best face/etc. I'm a huge fan of DBSK, so I obviously will choose DBSK. If you're a fan of Arashi, will it really be surprising to choose Arashi?
Both groups have talent, I'm happy for Arashi because they're still going strong after 10 years, and I'm very sad because right now, my fave group is experiencing some legal issues w/ their management. I'm not very familiar w/ JPop so I'm not in a position to compare as impartially as possible. But I believe that just because you're a fan of one artist, doesn't mean you have to be an anti-fan of the other artists, or bash them because their fans are bashing your fave artist. It's useless, and it promotes hate, something that I'm sure both groups don't want their fans to be involved in.
I must admit, there are some artists that I don't like so much, but I took my time to listen to their music/performances to judge whether they are worth my time or not, before passing my verdict. At the end of the day, all artists are there to make a living and entertain people. The more people that enjoys their performance, the better. :)

TOHOSHINKI OR ARASHI? - Tohoshinki.

Ahohohoo.. Can't stop laughing at loveless comment.. I am Arashi bias and yeah.. I know more about them.. But my knowledge for dbsk is not less because I had been crazy for them and Hero for like 5 months before I met arashi. But I am not here to compare these two but iam boiling when Loveless person said those stupid bias things in above comments. Ohno is not the least popular. Don't say your opinion as if it is real. Arashi members are popular evenly because they have their own charms. Unlike Dbsk, JJ is so much more popular than other members.(Go and watch JE boys' top solos and JE top best dancer, Ohno's solo and dances are ranked #1) JE fans accept that Ohno is the best dancer, singer in JE (go and watch Top secret, 3104 Ohno solo comcert, Take me far away) and he is the artist who has his own art exhibition(freestyle) And he is a gift. It is the great thing that he is leading Arashi without leading at all. If he really acted like a leader Arashi will not be recent Arashi at all. Sho will not be able to show his excellent in MC, newscasting, Aiba would not be able to show his ability and humor sense in Variety shows, Nino would not be able to tease Ohno and there will be no Ohmiya(which is one of the very important Arashi's charm) I used to have bad first impressions on them but the more you look at them and the more you know about them, they are nothing like other idols and yeah nth like dbsk. They are hard to be liked because they are not that goodlooking at first glance unlike Dbsk. Most of arashi fans have those weird first impressions on them. If one can surpass those first impression, you will surely be an Arashi fan, more like an obsessive fan. For me, they are really goodlooking and cuter than anymore. They made me cry, laugh, happy, smile, sth I never felt those kind of feeling from other groups I came across because of my various fri liking different j/k groups. But Arashi made me fangirl for only them and just to like other groups. Arashi fans are often said weird because we smile, cry, happy just listening to their songs. We can't stop talking about them to other friends. I always thought I am the only one but when I met an arashi fan in real life with her fri, I can see my own reflection on her because she kept bringing up Arashi to her friend. And yes.. That also happens to my arashi's fan-panpal.
Dbsk, on the other hand, has attractive faces which you will like them at first glance. But they surely lose arashi's charm. For music, they are totally different style and can't be compared. So it depends on ppl to choose which kind of style they like. For dance, Ohno can still surely challenge Junsu(I supposed him as best dancer out of five) And Arashi is great dancers when they were young. They are still pretty great dancers but their stamina are not that good anymore so they rarely did dance.

Because of the language and the looks, they can't compare to. they tried to but they're are not successful. The Asian Market based people on LOOKS, DANCE, and SINGING. None of which japanese groups have.

WTF has CDTV Most Wanted Lovers to do whit anything?? Isn't that just some random ranking they do once a year, Arashi members have appeared on the for many years DBSK for what like two year maybe. I don't can't really see what a ranking has to do whit anything?. Also Arashi appears in CDTV a lot when it comes to sales of theirs singles, albums and DVD's.
Arashi debuted 1999.11.03 and DBSK debuted 2003.12.26 to be exact. But why did you even bring that up?? lol
The reason why Arashi never has won a award from another country is because Johnny's & Associates (their agency) don't let their Idols compete in that kind of stuff. Because he (Johnny) don't want his idol to be rivals or compete whit each other pretty much. But Johnny idols are allowed to get award biased on sells(in album,singles and dvd's).
Arashi don't need to go to another country since the Japanese music market is so huge. They get enough money/salaries to survive and more lol. The only reason why SM wanted to debut DBSK in japan is because of it huge market and well to get more money..

The only reason why Ohno is the leader is because he won that position in rock, paper, scissor. He did not want to be the leader in fact. Oh and Ohno is definitely not unpopular he has many fans just like the others.

Japan don't see rivalry between groups, like the Korean industry does. They see the differences and love the groups for that.

ARASHI all the way.. Anyway, this poll is about TVXQ or Arashi and not who is better.... I love everything about Arashi. They are already perfect after saying, "we may not be perfect. We may not be good at dancing and singing but whatever we do, we put our hearts in it."(Time tour MC) They are already perfect for me. We, Arashi fans like them for who they are and of course, their friendship and dorkiness. They can make me cry, smile and laugh. It is amazing that they can even make me cry and smile at the same time. Their speech can make me happy and touched at the same time! They will do whatever for the sake of their fans. They will do even dangerous experiments and risk their lives to do sth stupid for the sake of entertaining fans and people. (6 Odoroke no Arashi SP proves it)

I love and like Arashi for more than 11 months by now though I liked Tohoshinki for about 2 months. Arashi is personality-wise and more like idols while DBSK is more like dancers and singers. I liked Tohoshiki before Arashi because of my friend's influence. For me, DBSK is easy to like and easy to forget becasue my fangirling on them was over after my midyear exam because I didn't keep in touch with their news for about 1 months. Maybe because I am not that serious since it is due to my friend's influence. (but my friend has already forgotten them too and now into Suju) 11 months ago, I saw Arashi no shukudai-kun ep accidentally and I thought that they are funny and checked more about them though I know them since 2 years ago. I regretted too much that I didn't check on them properly since 2 years ago when I first saw them, because of my stupid first impressions on them. But once I know more about them, I am so addicted that I can't live a day without their songs and their vids. I still was checking their recent news and vids though I was middle of the end of year exam. In my opinion, Arashi is difficult to like but once you like it, it is really difficult to forget. They are like a(good)drug to me.
I respect and like DBSK for their songs and dances. Their voices are nice to the fact that I can't tell the difference between each members. And to tell the truth, DBSk is more handsome than recent 2010 Arashi. But Arashi was handsome when they were around DBSK age. One day, DBSK will get older too since it is unavoidable. I don't mind that much about look. I like personalities more. That is where Arashi is rich in. I first thought that Arashi can't dance too because they rarely dance seriously. But gosh.. the more I get into Arashi fandom, I learned that they can dance pretty well because I saw some of the old videos when they were around 21, that is 9 years ago. But they can still dance well until now though rarely dance. Truth, Believe and Monster proved that they can dance pretty well. Whoever said they can't sing should go and listen to BLUE, Ashita no Kioku, Love so sweet and all of their songs in both concerts and pv before saying THIS. They(except Ohno) may not have good voices like DBSK. But the more you listened to them, the more you like their voices and never get bored of listening to their voices (which is what I found DBSK lacking of). Whether live or recording, their voice blended very well and they are as if singing as one. I like Arashi ALOT because of their close friendship and their unique personalities ( which are so so cute that I died at the spot for so many times) I didn't even buy $7 unofficial DBSK poster whille I was fangirling over them.. but I bought lots of stuffs for Arashi and I used up all my pocket money on them and was broke almost all the time. I don't know myself why I am buying all those albums,singles and magazine though I can download them and watch them online. But I do know that I want to support them for real. That is what I never ever experience before.(That is what I hate about myself) I am sure that that is what Arashi fans are doing too because I have seen that most arashi fans bought Arashi stuffs. Btw, I am writing this to tell who is better for me and who stole my heart totally, not to represent the whole world(where all the ppl have different preferences) I know myself that Arashi will be always first place celebrities in my heart. I am sure that who likes dance, looks will chose for DBSK and find their personalities good as bonus!! And whoever likes personalities more will chose for Arashi and find them handsome, cute as bonus. (But don't get me wrong. Arashi can really dance and sing very well but DBSK is better at dancing. DBSK has their own charm personalities but compared to Arashi, they are far behind.)
In conclusion, who the hell started this poll in the first place? These two groups are so different; it's like comparing fruits and vegetables insteads of fruits and fruits. Fandom rivalry is never pretty kay? And bashing isn't nice either, I don't think anyone should speak badly of the other group unless they know both groups well enough for them to not make wrong statements and set of fan wars.
As a fan of both groups, I love them both for different reasons and I honestly don't think they can be compared. However;

Anyone who says that Arashi sings well and can each be lead singers are really, seriously deaf. I love them and their songs are catchy and they're adorable when they perform, but they really struggle when it comes to live performances. Even in their recorded versions you can hear a lack that a really good singer has. Ohno is the best of them, but I wouldn't say that he's the best in Johnny's. Dance wise, Ohno is better than Yunho and Junsu, judging from what I've seen over the years. But as a group, DBSK is a little more in sync with more engergetic dance moves. Dbsk really can sing well, and they do it well live too. Many fans will claim that Arashi sings live for all their songs, but they don't, and the differance is obvious. I feel qualified to say this, having watched most of Arashi's live performances over the years and noting the difference between their syncing and live singing. Honestly, I love DBSK for their music most of all. Their songs and their performances are so beautiful and they really do have good voices.

And that was just based on vocals alone. Arashi does perform with emotion, they're seasoned performers and they sure do put up a hell of a show for their fans. Their concerts are insanely elaborate and they really get the tension up. During lives, DBSK performs with just as much intensity. They are good at lives, period. But their concerts are far from Arashi's level, of course. A comparison of Arashi's first Tokyo Dome and DBSK's Tokyo Dome would see Arashi winning out by far when it comes to the sheer magnitude and intensity of the performances. Although DBSK still was most definately better vocally and musically.

Lastly, the reason why I love Arashi is largely their personalities. Looks aside, they genuinely have a bond that is so sweet and perfect. I laugh myself silly at their variety shows and generally I am never bored when they're talking and being dorks. Dbsk has a close bond too, they live together ( or they used to anyway) and they have a visible bond as well. However, they do lack the variety personalities that Arashi have. Arashi knows how to act on varitey shows and it's enjoyable. Dbsk's appearances in variety shows are much blander, though still enjoyable. But if I had to pick, it would be Arashi by miles and miles. Perhaps it's from experiance being on Tv itself that has given Arashi the avantage.
I won't comment looks wise,whatever floats you boat. And believe me, they all float my boat just fine.
But Arashi are not just singers and a music group like DBSK is. Arashi are Idols, and they have dramas, movies and several variety shows and radio shows and news progams. They're more rounded in the entertainment world, despite lacking in the vocals department. DBSK are singers, they are though, marketed in the way an idol group is, despite them having said that they wish to be seen as artistes and not Kpop idols riding the hallyu wave. I honestly love the hard work DBSK has put in in japan and slowly rising to the top. They're dedication and hard work make me love them even more. So I kinda want DBSK to remain artistes and singers foremost. Now that they're branching into Dramas too, I still wish them all the best. And just in case some fangirls comment of my lack of Arashi's hard work; Arashi have put in tons of work to get where they are. There are some who do not know it, but they've gone through periods of obscurity and low sales during their earlier days, but they've kept on going for ten whole years, relying on each other for strengh. And this makes me love them so much too

- I think you just answered your own question. We are proud of Arashi precisely because we ARE fans. We like them and the things that they do. Their looks, abilities and personalities may not be your cup of tea, but it is ours.
You can like one band more than any other, but that does not give you the right to criticize other groups. Each band/group is popular because they each have their strengths. One group may have accomplished something that the other hasn't but there would also be some things that the latter was able to do that the former was not able to.

Ok, I don't really get into things like this because mainly you get irrational/rabid fangirls dragging the opponent's name through mud but seriously, some of the things that I've read here just pissed me off. Yes, I am a fan of Arashi but I do acknowledge TVXQ's talent. I kow-tow to them when it comes to singing and dancing. They're not my kpop group (I'm an SJ fanatic) but I do acknowledge that they're the top Korean band. No questions right there.
Here are some minor points that I would like to point out, though:
1. BOYS OVER FLOWER IS REEAAALLLLYYYYY GOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!!!
- There were 3 versions of HYD. In terms of looks, I would have to say that BoF had the most good-looking F4 but when it comes to acting, it's HYD all the way. The acting in BoF was just mediocre. I wanted to like the series just because of Kim Joon, but sadly, it was just not that good. And before anyone accuses me of being biased, let me tell you: I'd rather watch Meteor Garden than BoF AND HYD.
2. Has Arashi ever win Asia Best Star Award?
- Are you referring to the Best Asia Star Award from Mnet Asian Music Awards? Of course Arashi hasn't won that and probably won't ever since it's from a Korean Award giving body.
3. How many times did got invited to the Asia Song Festival?
- There are different Japanese artists sent to the Asia Song Festival every year. Check out the list and you'll see that no Japanese artist has actually performed twice since the first year that ASF has been established.
4. Are they in the Guiness Book of World Record?
- Please remember that TVXQ is in Guiness because of fanclub membership, not because they were hailed as the best boyband in the world.
5. Does their tour for 300,000 tickets sold out in 5 minutes?
- Arashi's ticket sales may not sell that fast but they do sell out every concert and tour.
6. Does they sell more than 400,000 tickets in their ASIA TOUR? Do they have concert in 30 cities around Asia (not including Korea and Japan)?
- Please remember that Arashi members are not just singers. They can only do very short Asian tours because they have a lot of other things to do.
7. Is one of them ASIA Best Flower Boys voted by 50 million Asian?
- Nope. But our boys don't really qualify because they aren't really outstandingly (or shockingly) good-looking. They do not really fit the "Flower Boy" mold. Personally, I have a major crush on Jaejoong and yes, if I actually participated in that poll, I surely would have casted my vote for Jaejoong (even if I'm an ELF) since Jaejoong's just too pretty. Arashi does not have a pretty member but the 5 of them are good-looking in their own way.
8. Is one of them the "King of Dance" also voted by Asia?
- I'm sorry, but which poll was this? I know a lot of people think that Yunho's, like, the best dancer but in the most recent poll that I found, he just ranked #3. Every boyband has their own Dancing King and there are a lot of "dancing kings" in Korea. Personally, I think Yunho can dance well, however, I like Junsu's dancing style better. When you're talking about dancing in Korea, I still think the old Korean idols - Junjin/Minwoo (Shinhwa), Jang Woohyuk (HOT); Rain and Se7en can kick anyone's ass.
9. Is one of them called "Angel Xiah", "Visual Shock Hero", "Smiling Eyes Micky", "Model Max", "Dance King U-Know"?
- Of course not, since none of them are Xiah, Hero, Micky, Max and U-Know. It would be hilarious to address them with those names when they are Ohno, Sho, Aiba, Nino and Jun.

- To each his own. I guess you wouldn't mind me saying that while I think TVXQ looks good, sounds good and moves well, they're quite bland on shows (whether they're in Japan or Korea), then?

K-on, I reckon that. DBSK live performances like dancing and singing has been better than a lot of boybands like Big Bang, Shinee and 2pm. That's my opinion too. (:
They DO have lots of experience in the industry too. They dance well and sing well and their interviews are funny. They have a great friendship too.
Those who do not Arashi too, please look at their young debut days. They do know how to dance. Hear Arashi arashi. They can dance. Hear their live performances like believe and Ashita no koiku. They can sing.
Those out there, please do not PRO-your idol and DOWN-the other. You're making ppl critiscing your idols out there.

Uh. IMHO, Boys Over Flowers was a poor ripoff of HYD. It was long, draggy, and confusing. The actors were subpar except for maybe JiHoo. They introduced characters (like JunPyo's father) and never fully developed them. What happened to him? I watched both with an open mind and I have to say that BOF did a bad job with casting and scriptwriting. The end was ridiculous, too. So Jan Di and JunPyo can't get married without the approval of their friends? And JiHoo is continually teased by Jan Di's presence? Unrealistic. But that's beside the point.
I've never really listened to TVXQ (save for two songs) and I'm an Arashi fan. I admit they aren't amazing dancers or singers, but so many boybands are already marketed that way. Arashi is different because they're a close group with each of them taking a part in the spotlight. They're not afraid to have their *pink* talks on TV and reveal secrets about each other like the kind of underwear they wear! Every time I watch them, I feel like I'm a part of their conversations and that I could approach any of them in an instant!

Well, this is a moot point now. News came out today that TVXQ/Tohoshinki will cease all group activities. In other words, they are GONE. Go visit any pop music website and you'll probably see the news. Individually they will probably still work a career but Arashi wins this poll, because of their multi-talents, their genuine personalities, and the simple fact they outlived Tohoshinki! lol

Tohoshinki!!! They have amazing vocals! I mean, there isn't another asian band out now that can sing acappella like they do! The dancing is great too! The members of Tohoshinki have started to act in dramas also! And they are gaining sooooo much popularity not only in Japan n korea, but worldwide! And they act soo cute on variety shows!!

I'm a fan of both really, or was...:P; they both have their good qualities as well as bad ones ..(i'll be talking about arashi alot more since they have more info...and this basicaly my opinion)
DBSK has great vocal and does great live; but honestly, they're not the best (why do peole keep saying they are..??), i think Big Bang and SHINee 's better in dancing and singing live (:P sorry), and they can't act (Mickey and Hero can act, but they're not that good..); their personalities are kind of bland compared to many others in teh same industry, especially when they're in Japanese varieties show (though they do seem to have more charisma in Korean varieties....but they rely on Junsu for comic relief way too much)..you can definitely see comradery b/w them.....aside from that I have to say that their singing IS good though (especially Hero, and Xiah), and they can dance in sync almost completely, and I love their determination, and their serious sides; their solos are nice to listen to as well. And they're finally able to sound good while singing and dancing (love their mirotic performance~), their ability to harmonize is great, and it's a big plus that they're good looking and tall lols~

Arashi puts up a great performance when it comes to their concerts; basically it's entertaining to watch them whether it's their concert performances, MCs, dramas, or varieties; they're funny, and their personalities are really colourful; tehy're pros at creating a good and fun atmosphere. they're all good at their own field whether its nino for his acting, or sho for newscasting, or aiba RISKING his life on that zoo show, or ohno's art, and matsujun looking hot or whatever. But their singing AS A GROUP sucks; I blame matsujun for being the weak link, although he's the one mostly bringing in fans...; sho has pretty good technique, but his voice is soooo rough...which maybe due to his constant rapping..which I wish had more variation to...( the rapping part for believe and umbrella sounded the same....), and NINO..omfg..nino...he has a REALLY nice voice IMO, but why does he always sound out of breath? and off tone??! geez..he's basically the wrecker for their songs live currently (before it was MJ, but he's gotten better)..you definitely know that they're singing live, when nino's vice is on top....so yeah, their singing isn't that good; they never took singing lessons except for sho and ohno briefly for their west side story stageplay a few years ago. Although they are able to dance in sync better now, they're still not completely in sync; though they were for crazy moon, hah, maybe 'cause they were actually given time to practice...but still, their techniques are lacking (aside from ohno)...and their dance styles are pretty old..==...I think they all have potential, but sadly johnny's train them to be good at talking, MCing etc. being able to dance so-so s ok, and singing and acting is not really considered ('cause apparently he believes that anyone can sing and act..huh..). Nino and Ohno are great at acting ( jun's good, and sho and aiba are mediocre). ...but they're not really as great as the main stream actors; but still great i guess.
They're great to watch; they make you happy, and their music is really uplifting and just plain happy~ the proof is in their "fight song"; it's the most god-awful song musically imo, but it's the most motivating, and most uplifting (i listen to it all the time. esp. during test time :P)
Anyways, I chose...ohno! (sadly there's no ohno option there aw....) since he has all the qualities of an idol; b/c he can sing, dance, draw, act well, and he himself is an inspiration; t-though i guess if he was tall and handsome it'll be a plus..but cute is nice too~...
and i wish he'd be more ambitious...oh well~

Dong Bang Shin Ki is #1 band in Asia, yes, I've heard of that, but based on what? Arashi is the #1 band in Japan, again, based on what?
I think this poll is stupid! It makes fans fight fans and it doesn't mean or prove anything! Just because Arashi got 66%, it doesn't mean they're better than Tohoshinki for me.
Anyway, I'll bring up some advantages of both group:
1. Tohoshinki: they're cute, sweet, hot and talented. Their music is sweet and nice too. It made me love myself more, love people who love me more, love them more. And their dance is really darn cool!
2. Arashi: they're experienced and talented also. They act like little children for their ages ( which is a good thing) when Tohoshinki seems shy for their age. It's because of the condition, I mean no one can have fun with that evil president. Arashi's music is often fun and cheerful.
So anyway, I love Tohoshinki more. But I can't compare the 2 groups' talents.

I cam here again and want to rant this.
I know some fan turns from Arashi to TVXQ/Tohoshinki and also some TVXQ/Tohoshinki's fans turn to Arashi's. Basically, I think both groups have their own strong points and weak points. Even I am a Tohoshinki's fan, I still respect Arashi a lot. I am totally upset when I saw someone who called themselves as Toho's fan but never really learn from them. These five guys are one of the most humble stars in Asia or even in the world. Yet, there are so many fanatic fans that are so arrogant and make Toho's fan as a whole looks like an irrational pathetic fangirl.
I am, myself, very proud of TVXQ/Tohoshinki and also want to protect my favourite when they received unreasonable critics. However, I think some fans here should be open-minded. I get angry when someone criticized Toho's ability without watching and listenning to them. Therefore, it's not hard to understand Arashi's fan when I read some arrogant comment of Toho's fan. It would be ok if you say you don't like their ability once you know them enough. Maybe you just don't like their style. There are many ways that one can praise their favourite without bashing the others. For those Toho's fan who said that Arashi can't dance. - -" I like Arashi because I saw them dancing 9 years ago. What the heck with all toho statistic! I don't think they need those stats to prove that they are good singers with good dancing skill and kind hearts. Max Matsuura (AVEX chairman) praised them for many time as well as many other people in entertainment business. Their voice can easily make people cry or smile. That's why they are so precious to me - not because they are better than anyone else but because they are always better than who they was. They do their best all the time in order to sing and dance the best for us.
Let me say to someone who ignore Tohoshinki/TVXQ...These guys also called each other as comrades and family. Their bond is might even deeper than anyone can understand because they lived together for 7 years. They were sent to Japan where they couldn't even speak the language. It was like being left in a far far away island where they have nothing but only each others. TVXQ was one of Korean biggest stars when they had to go to Japan and sang on little stage with only 50 people came to watch. I don't think anyone can understand that pain but themselves. That's how strong they are. On the last week of 2008, they had to fly back and forth between Korea and Japan in order to rehearse and performe in both countries. They flied about 10 times in one week. Only these five can understand this feelings. That's why they can rely on each others. That's how they become who they are now.

I personally think DBSK can dance and sing at the same time and very well at that XD They are hot as well.
BUt for me it's all Arashi XD I love theri closeness their friendships their stupidness and when they are helping other people. They don't care (okay they do a little) as to how stupid they look on tv (i mean really a fairy costume, nurse, baby costumes, giant cat XD). They may not always harmonize but they do sometimes harmonize very well. Maybe not all of them can sing well but together they sound great XD. Of course TVXQis great too and i respect them but they are to erm cool for me XD I want more personality. I love Arashi, and I don't care about DBSK. Whether Arashi can sing or not, whether their dance technique is good or not, it's not important. The importance is that hearing them singing, watching their shows and seeing their smiles makes me feel self-confident and live more positively. Arashi sings and dances well, but I don't love Arashi because they sing or dance better, I love them because they make me happy. Isn't that the role of idols, making their fan happy? In fangirl's heart, their idols are the best. They are the best just because they are unique and only. I mean best, not better, I don't mean an comparison with any other bands.
For the ones loving THSK, pls just keep ur love and don't bash our idols.

I'm neither an Arashi nor a DBSK fan. I also don't care much for Kmusic or Jmusic for that matter; I'm more interested in movies and dramas. But, like many have said, it all comes down to your own preference. Personally, I find Arashi a bunch of friendly guys whose closeness to each other definitely attracts a lot of fans. They're also one of the more likeable groups in Johnny Entertainment. For many, DBSK is better-looking. Yet, I find them normal. In fact, their shininess (and other Korean celebrities, for that matter) sort of drives me away. Let's just say they're not my cup of tea.
Many people have commented that DBSK fans are too fanatic. Well, that's what happens when they're too popular. It's also one of the reasons why I've never been interested, but I don't think it's just DBSK fans who are like that, but rather any group that's too popular will have crazy fans.
All in all, any comparison is virtually pointless. Is Paul McCartney or John Lennon better? Well, take your pick.

I think I speak for everybody here that there is really no way to compare the bands in an unbiased view-point. We are essentially all biased towards our favored band, and I think it's getting a bit too heated up. I think it really doesn't matter who is better than who. Both bands give each of us joy and delight and a connection that seem to form even though we are oceans and seas apart. Song-wise or acting-wise or simple words of encouragement or just plain smiling photos, sharing joys of success or pain of failure or frustration at mounting problems, we know there is that something special that drew us to them. I love DBSK to the tiniest atoms and revel in their successes and cry with them whether in joy or in pain and I take joy in the simplest accomplishments they achieve, and even though I may not know much about Arashi I respect them a lot. their accomplishments are nothing to be belittled and I can see a lot of things they have in common with my beloveds. It's fun to compare both groups because of this. hard-working sincere individuals bonded together by the same dreams and friendship. Please don't belittle either group in favor of the other.

Arashi all the way! They just broke the 500000 in a week record this week and I just saw Ohno's picture for Kaibatsu-kun! Yatta! I can't wait to see his drama. I picked Arashi because they have it all. They're award winning actors, they're songs are inspirational, they're closeness is unmatched and longstanding, I love their singing, and they are just so funny. I love all of their shows over the years, and I never get tired of re-watching all of their dramas and movies, and listening to their songs. Arashi is it for me.

I was an arashi fan for one year... and now... im a total DBSK(tohoshinki) fan girl. They can't sing and dance at the same time? then you do not know them very well... have you every watch them perform mirotic? If the question being asked was, "which do you prefer, kpop or jpop?" then I would definitely admit kpop....because korean pop music has that awesome american feel with just enough mixture of traditional trot and oldschool bubblegum pop in it to make it different.
However, in a battle of bands, the true answer, to me atleast, is for sure Arashi. Even I, an avid kpop fanatic, can confidently admit that while DBSK has garnered alot of success of the years, Arashi will forever be a household name in Japan.....not to only children and young females, but to old men and women too. Parents and Grandparents admit to loving the band just as much as their offspring because of the diversity of the music and close brotherhood of the members.

I think it depends on what you're after. Tohoshinki's cool and handsome, I won't deny that they have great voices. The dancing blows me away all the time. They're also more fashionable (that could be credited to the fact that Korean idol groups adopt "newer" and trendier styles as compared to Japanese idol groups, generally speaking; I've always wished Arashi could get better stylists.) And they're taller and manlier and everything. My friend just raves for them. And I get her, that's her poison. I personally love Tohoshinki's songs too, and they are great performers. I feel their sincerity in wanting to entertain, and do well in their craft. But yeah, I don't know how they are in real life, how they interact with each other, how they MC etc, I'm not an admirer to that extent. Maybe because I haven't really watched enough of their stuff? My friend will cure that, I'm sure.
As for me, my poison is the friendship, heart, and humility that Arashi has as a group. It's true, they're "cute and funny" like Christine said, that's their image, and they are really like that. I just don't like it when people imply that they are not talented, that they're nothing compared to Tohoshinki dancing and singing-wise. Tohoshinki might be technically better at those, but Arashi is pretty good too. What I love is that Arashi is composed of 5 different people who never claimed to be anything special, they always like to think of themselves as hard workers, they never sought for that idol/Asian boyband aura of coolness (Matsujun had his phase, but he's a pretty sincere guy when you get down to it), and they are all such good friends.
I choose Arashi not necessarily because they're better. They're just my poison of choice. Being a fan of theirs is almost a privilege, because we're then privy to how amazing they are individually and as a group. Being a fan of theirs is all-consuming, even outside music: what with Ohno and his art, Sho and his newscasting, and all the member's dramas and movies (if you're a new fan, you'll have months and months of catching up to do to watch everything they've been in). It's a full time job being an Arashi fan, and someone has to do it. But it's entirely a pleasure because when you get to know those 5 boys, you would want to cheer them on because they're so easy to love: they are funny, candid, hard-working, and sometimes painfully dorky (but that's welcome too!) You would want to cheer them on because they give so much back: all the laughs, their epic variety shows, their amazing concerts, their inspiring songs, their energy, their hearts, their...everything. And your heart will burst at how close they are. They said at one point that they don't consider each other as friends or family, they see themselves as brothers. I also like how they have such a good perspective of fame, winning awards, and getting high sales: they appreciate it, but mainly, it's not their priority. When it took them 9-10 years to get to the top, you'll get why they are so thankful to their fans. Even minus all the hype they're getting now, I think they would still be doing the same things to the best of their ability: singing, dancing, and making people happy. They're not the coolest idols in the planet, sure; but they embody the spirit of true entertainment. They've surpassed needing to be cool.
Basically, I choose Arashi. I'm not only a fan of them as entertainers, or singer/dancers; I'm a fan of them as people. I think every Arashi fan can say that, and really mean it. I'm happy they're my poison of choice.

Tohoshinki's songs, have the ability to touch my heart.Even if i don't understand what they're singing. Just as how some people say that Arashi songs are inspirational to them, Tohoshinki's songs are inspirational as well, not to mention that they're touching. My friend (who wasn't a tohoshinki fan before) started to cry when I let her listen to "Don't Say Goodbye". I was shocked. I asked her why she was crying and she said she didn't know, but this song just moved her. and she said that maybe that was why she cried. So rly, tohoshinki also has the ability to touch ppl's hearts.

In my opinion, if we judge a group by their talents (singing, dancing, etc) there must be something which another group have and they don't have or vice versa. Maybe arashi's dancing or singing not the best from other groups, but they always do that from the heart ( nino said this himself at Time con MC). But you know, what attract me the most from arashi are their fun personality and strong bond between them despite the fact they weren't that close at the beginning because they didn't know that they were really gonna debuted, but this factor wasn't commonly found at another group. This could easily be seen from their interaction at variety show or at their performance at concert. And I guess to maintain their relationship for 10 years without fight even once isn't an easy thing to do. They are adorable and a great entertainer.

About the poll, I think Arashi is entertainment-wise while Tohoshinki is music-wise. Since I mostly don't have much time watching TV and video clips which means I listen to music more while driving and working so I choose Tohoshinki. (I do like many Arashi fast beat song too.)
Their song, especially the songs that they wrote by themselves always touch me. They are not the normal love song but have encourage meaning. I do think that they have never been perfect, in the sense that their music improve and improve all the time. I admit that I would never fall for them if I know them too early. (Their japanese in the 1st japanese album is....ermmmm never mind)
However, their live performance keeps improving. I almost think their 2nd Japan tour is very very good and better than any boyband I have ever seen but they are always better than themselves in the past. (I have seen a lot of boygroup from Western and Eastern and believe me...Tohoshinki performance is really to die for.) Their ability and passion in singing and dancing live is one of the top. These 5 guys auditioned and trained and struggled to sing and dance, not to become well-round idol anyway. Their focus and dream is always about singing. That's why, I would say they are different from most of asian boygroup out there and always have special place in my heart.

Even my friend who is biggest Arashi fan can't believe that Tohoshinki can sing live while dancing tremendously for 30 minutes straight at Tokyo Dome. However, apparently, Tohoshinki can. (She said even Arashi lipsynced in some songs. I was like...well, this is Tohoshinki.)
I respect the other opinion about look, song, personality wise, dancing, acting but don't dare say that Tohoshinki sing worse than any JE group if you don't know that they can sing live for 30+ song for more than 3 hours and even sound better than the recorded ones. Lots of my male friends even respect Tohoshinki on this matter.

By the way, I also wanted to add that another thing I love about Arashi is their songs. Over the course of the past year or so, I'm noticing their songs are not just love songs anymore. More of their songs are actually inspirational songs if you listen closely to the lyrics, such as Happiness, Believe, Ashita no Kioku (for example, if we believe strongly, strongly in each other, what color will we paint tomorrow?), Everything, Step and Go, Truth, We Can Make It, Sakura Sake, Beautiful Days, Tobira, etc. Their songs sing about moving forward, believing in tomorrow, not giving up. They're inspirational. For those of us who work, in this day and age with the economy the way it is, inspirational songs are what I need the most right now. Even now with their three new songs in 2010, Yurase Ima Wo, Troublemaker, and Sora Takaku, they are also inspirational songs. That's why I pick Arashi. Their songs make me feel better when the day is bad. They make me laugh and smile when I feel like crying sometimes. I don't think another Asian group has had the ability to do that to me. :)

I give it to Arashi. I think their vocals are great, and they definitely can dance. They dance their own way, they don't dance like SMAP. They don't dance like Tohoshinki. They dance hard. They dance with energy. They dance enough to rouse their fans. That's enough for me. As far as their singing goes, I watched them on 2009 FNS Best Artist and their rendition of Ashita no Kioku blew me away, especially when they hit that crescendo at the end of the song. Watching them, they definitely stood out vocally because they sang with strength, and when they ended that song on the last note, their voices blended into one voice. THAT is the Arashi I see. But more than that, it's not just that they have succeeded as entertainers and actors, it is also what they have accomplished in reaching out and interacting with people around Japan. I was going through their long lists of shows on Wikipedia, and over the course of their career, they've done some pretty hard labor and even dangerous things. I'm talking about shows like Mayonaka no Arashi where they traveled by train without map or money from one end of Japan to the other, with Jun getting his head hit with fire furing the Nagano Fire Festival. I'm talking about Mago Mago Arashi, where they became grandsons to lonely grandparents all over Japan, doing everything from household chores, cooking, harvesting vegetables and fruits, helping take care of diary farm, climbing mountains to look for mushrooms, harvesting lotus roots from a pond of mud, Nino carrying a grandmother on his back, helping a grandmother learn to ride a bicycle, all of Arashi learning to row so that they could fulfill one grandfather's dream of rowing again with young people, giving massages, working from morning clear to late at night each and every time. G no Arashi, where Arashi acted as supporters for other people, which ranged from solving personal problems to helping promote the awareness of minor sports. These five guys gave back to their country and then some. They even became certified childminders so that they can babysit babies and small children of working mothers. These guys have done what really matters most, not just as singers or actors or hosts. They gave back to their country and touched people, all while being funny, down to earth, approachable guys, nowhere near as what an "idol" is supposed to act like. For that they have my ultimate respect.

yeah DBSK is good looking.. but really entertainer quality over all arashi wins...good at dancing, singing, acting, news casting[oh sho~], MCing, and everything.. they're handsome/cute/hot/cool/sexy and dorks at the same time,, well they're CD sales and all would tell that arashi is the best yo~
and about the kohaku.. it's not that arashi can't enter kohaku... they've been invited many times but there is a rule that only 2 frame for JE will be given so tokio or SMAP would be removed but due to their countless times of participation it won't happen... and so that's why this 2009-2010 countdown, NHK made a special rule just for arashi so that the jimusho would allow arashi to be on show.. see their special.. it's almost every media thingy want arashi in their mags/show coz if it's arashi ratings will definetely get high..♥

I think arashi is MUCH better. Just a few months back i was obsessed with kpop and didn't listen to anything else. But one day, i started to watch arashi's shows and they are hilarious! You don't even have to be a fan to think their funny. I tried to listen to DBSK and their vocals are more impressive but I personally think Arashi is better at dancing then DBSK. Arashi's choreography may not be that good but they are actually good at dancing. Appearance does matter for an IDOL and appearance-wise, arashi wins too. From dbsk, only Changmin's face is handsome while in arashi, all 5 are handsome to me. And i definitely like arashi's music better. And no offence but dbsk is SOOO boring, their talks aren't funny at all!

singing wise, TVXQ is on another league than Arashi. (Arashi RLY RLY needs to work on their vocals)
Dancing wise, it's also TVXQ (but I blame JE for this cuz they need to hire better choreographers for their groups like Kat-tun and Arashi.)
acting wise, its Arashi because all of it's members have participated in at least one drama. Whereas TVXQ only has about two members that are barely starting to act in actual dramas.

Hm, I guess it all comes down to our own biased-ness. I'm a DBSK fan, and they are the only band I listen to and the only band I will listen to. I don't have grounds to compare and say who's best because I don't know Arashi that well.
But I'd have to disagree to some of the earlier comments. DBSK's live performances are one of the bests I've seen, and I truly respect and admire their abilities as singers and artists. They CAN dance AND sing at the same time. They debuted as an acapella-dance group, after all, and they are pretty good at it. And the issue about plastic surgery isn't proven but then again, few would care. Looks can only take an artist so far, they need staying power. I believe for a fact that DBSK's staying power lies on their abilities to give out their best in every performance, and their attitudes toward their work. They are not just pretty faces. They have substance. They are humble and respectful and they work hard at what they do.
In all honesty I do not like techno music at all. Anything I hear with synthesizer I shut my ears to. I love ballads and pop and RnB. And that is why I listen to DBSK. In my opinion, their ballads are to die for, their pop songs are very nice to listen to, their dance numbers make me hop around the place. They cover a wide variety of genres. They are a very versatile group with superb vocals and brilliant performances.
I have many more reasons why DBSK will always be the best band for me, as I'm sure Arashi fans have their reasons to why Arashi will always be best for them. Again it all comes down to biasedness and preferance.

Yes definitely Arashi. First of all they have been around double as long as DBSK, DBSK have still some things to learn I think.
Even doe I have only been in to Jpop and Arashi for a little more than a year, so can't I just stop loving them, I just have to watch anything Arashi related, witch is a lot^^. They have really made me a real fangirl I have to say lol.
I have tried to like DBSK to of course since so many people always saying how good they are and all that. Sure some can sing and some can dance, just like any other boyband. But that is not enough for me to love them, I have to like their personality too. Which I never seem to can like when it comes to DBSK, they all seems so dry or something. Most of their interviews are soo booring, it just trows me off sadly.
I don't really like DBSK music so much eater it is eater technoish or some other weird thing(balloon scary o.0). I like more pop which I though kpop and pop stood for, lol I guess I was wrong. But since Arashi really do stick to the pop part most of the time does it make me like them more. I also like Arashi sound/voice blend more than DBSK.

No offence to dbsk.. Arashi all the way.. They have debuted 10 years.. May be they r old.. But they r too charming and cute if u got to know them.. I have tried dbsk, they are not that great at dance.. They can't sing and dance at the same time.. But arashi did at aaa show without affecting their singing.. No offence to dbsk fan.. It is the truth I am telling.. Some members in dbsk have done plastic surgery.. As u know, most of the Koreans do that.. Arashi is not.. They r like this face and never change since 1999.. U will know who is better once you get to know well about both bands.. Don't just decide the best band by appearance.

If you are looking for things that boil down to PERSPECTIVES like handsome-looking, entertaining, boring or not, personal charms, can make you laugh, can make your heart melt or whatever else, then it's up to any of the two because everything appeals differently to every individual.
but if we are talking about ACTUAL TALENTS here with comparing categories like singing ability, dancing ability, acting ability etc. then it's tohoshinki that wins. it's obvious.
about their lack of activities in the acting department, i have to account it to the differences in sm and je's marketing strategy. you never see sm singers really having acting as a large proportion of their careers. exlcuding kim kibum in recent years lol.
type "je cant sing" and you see pages and pages of rants about them. this is not built up over one night in an attempt to frame their artistes but an accumulation over a long time. type "tohoshinki cant sing" and you dont see anything like that. go try it out.
but then again, it's really up to what factors you are looking for to find the group that you will support.

guys... guys... the poll only asks, "tvxq/tohoshinki or arashi?" it does not ask who's more handsome/talented/best dancer/best singer/best face/etc. I'm a huge fan of DBSK, so I obviously will choose DBSK. If you're a fan of Arashi, will it really be surprising to choose Arashi?
Both groups have talent, I'm happy for Arashi because they're still going strong after 10 years, and I'm very sad because right now, my fave group is experiencing some legal issues w/ their management. I'm not very familiar w/ JPop so I'm not in a position to compare as impartially as possible. But I believe that just because you're a fan of one artist, doesn't mean you have to be an anti-fan of the other artists, or bash them because their fans are bashing your fave artist. It's useless, and it promotes hate, something that I'm sure both groups don't want their fans to be involved in.
I must admit, there are some artists that I don't like so much, but I took my time to listen to their music/performances to judge whether they are worth my time or not, before passing my verdict. At the end of the day, all artists are there to make a living and entertain people. The more people that enjoys their performance, the better. :)

But my knowledge for dbsk is not less because I had been crazy for them and Hero for like 5 months before I met arashi. But I am not here to compare these two but iam boiling when Loveless person said those stupid bias things in above comments. Ohno is not the least popular. Don't say your opinion as if it is real. Arashi members are popular evenly because they have their own charms. Unlike Dbsk, JJ is so much more popular than other members.(Go and watch JE boys' top solos and JE top best dancer, Ohno's solo and dances are ranked #1) JE fans accept that Ohno is the best dancer, singer in JE (go and watch Top secret, 3104 Ohno solo comcert, Take me far away) and he is the artist who has his own art exhibition(freestyle) And he is a gift. It is the great thing that he is leading Arashi without leading at all. If he really acted like a leader Arashi will not be recent Arashi at all. Sho will not be able to show his excellent in MC, newscasting, Aiba would not be able to show his ability and humor sense in Variety shows, Nino would not be able to tease Ohno and there will be no Ohmiya(which is one of the very important Arashi's charm) I used to have bad first impressions on them but the more you look at them and the more you know about them, they are nothing like other idols and yeah nth like dbsk. They are hard to be liked because they are not that goodlooking at first glance unlike Dbsk. Most of arashi fans have those weird first impressions on them. If one can surpass those first impression, you will surely be an Arashi fan, more like an obsessive fan. For me, they are really goodlooking and cuter than anymore. They made me cry, laugh, happy, smile, sth I never felt those kind of feeling from other groups I came across because of my various fri liking different j/k groups. But Arashi made me fangirl for only them and just to like other groups. Arashi fans are often said weird because we smile, cry, happy just listening to their songs. We can't stop talking about them to other friends. I always thought I am the only one but when I met an arashi fan in real life with her fri, I can see my own reflection on her because she kept bringing up Arashi to her friend. And yes.. That also happens to my arashi's fan-panpal.
Dbsk, on the other hand, has attractive faces which you will like them at first glance. But they surely lose arashi's charm. For music, they are totally different style and can't be compared. So it depends on ppl to choose which kind of style they like. For dance, Ohno can still surely challenge Junsu(I supposed him as best dancer out of five) And Arashi is great dancers when they were young. They are still pretty great dancers but their stamina are not that good anymore so they rarely did dance.
First of no I would not want to see my two favorite groups compete, because I love them both obviously.

The reason why Arashi never has won a award from another country is because Johnny's & Associates (their agency) don't let their Idols compete in that kind of stuff. Because he (Johnny) don't want his idol to be rivals or compete whit each other pretty much. But Johnny idols are allowed to get award biased on sells(in album,singles and dvd's).
Arashi don't need to go to another country since the Japanese music market is so huge. They get enough money/salaries to survive and more lol. The only reason why SM wanted to debut DBSK in japan is because of it huge market and well to get more money..

Japan don't see rivalry between groups, like the Korean industry does. They see the differences and love the groups for that.

ARASHI all the way.. Anyway, this poll is about TVXQ or Arashi and not who is better.... I love everything about Arashi. They are already perfect after saying, "we may not be perfect. We may not be good at dancing and singing but whatever we do, we put our hearts in it."(Time tour MC) They are already perfect for me. We, Arashi fans like them for who they are and of course, their friendship and dorkiness. They can make me cry, smile and laugh. It is amazing that they can even make me cry and smile at the same time. Their speech can make me happy and touched at the same time! They will do whatever for the sake of their fans. They will do even dangerous experiments and risk their lives to do sth stupid for the sake of entertaining fans and people. (6 Odoroke no Arashi SP proves it)
I love and like Arashi for more than 11 months by now though I liked Tohoshinki for about 2 months. Arashi is personality-wise and more like idols while DBSK is more like dancers and singers. I liked Tohoshiki before Arashi because of my friend's influence. For me, DBSK is easy to like and easy to forget becasue my fangirling on them was over after my midyear exam because I didn't keep in touch with their news for about 1 months. Maybe because I am not that serious since it is due to my friend's influence. (but my friend has already forgotten them too and now into Suju) 11 months ago, I saw Arashi no shukudai-kun ep accidentally and I thought that they are funny and checked more about them though I know them since 2 years ago. I regretted too much that I didn't check on them properly since 2 years ago when I first saw them, because of my stupid first impressions on them. But once I know more about them, I am so addicted that I can't live a day without their songs and their vids. I still was checking their recent news and vids though I was middle of the end of year exam. In my opinion, Arashi is difficult to like but once you like it, it is really difficult to forget. They are like a(good)drug to me.
I respect and like DBSK for their songs and dances. Their voices are nice to the fact that I can't tell the difference between each members. And to tell the truth, DBSk is more handsome than recent 2010 Arashi. But Arashi was handsome when they were around DBSK age. One day, DBSK will get older too since it is unavoidable. I don't mind that much about look. I like personalities more. That is where Arashi is rich in. I first thought that Arashi can't dance too because they rarely dance seriously. But gosh.. the more I get into Arashi fandom, I learned that they can dance pretty well because I saw some of the old videos when they were around 21, that is 9 years ago. But they can still dance well until now though rarely dance. Truth, Believe and Monster proved that they can dance pretty well. Whoever said they can't sing should go and listen to BLUE, Ashita no Kioku, Love so sweet and all of their songs in both concerts and pv before saying THIS. They(except Ohno) may not have good voices like DBSK. But the more you listened to them, the more you like their voices and never get bored of listening to their voices (which is what I found DBSK lacking of). Whether live or recording, their voice blended very well and they are as if singing as one. I like Arashi ALOT because of their close friendship and their unique personalities ( which are so so cute that I died at the spot for so many times) I didn't even buy $7 unofficial DBSK poster whille I was fangirling over them.. but I bought lots of stuffs for Arashi and I used up all my pocket money on them and was broke almost all the time. I don't know myself why I am buying all those albums,singles and magazine though I can download them and watch them online. But I do know that I want to support them for real. That is what I never ever experience before.(That is what I hate about myself) I am sure that that is what Arashi fans are doing too because I have seen that most arashi fans bought Arashi stuffs. Btw, I am writing this to tell who is better for me and who stole my heart totally, not to represent the whole world(where all the ppl have different preferences) I know myself that Arashi will be always first place celebrities in my heart. I am sure that who likes dance, looks will chose for DBSK and find their personalities good as bonus!! In conclusion, who the hell started this poll in the first place? These two groups are so different; it's like comparing fruits and vegetables insteads of fruits and fruits. Fandom rivalry is never pretty kay? And bashing isn't nice either, I don't think anyone should speak badly of the other group unless they know both groups well enough for them to not make wrong statements and set of fan wars.
As a fan of both groups, I love them both for different reasons and I honestly don't think they can be compared. However;
1.
Anyone who says that Arashi sings well and can each be lead singers are really, seriously deaf. I love them and their songs are catchy and they're adorable when they perform, but they really struggle when it comes to live performances. Even in their recorded versions you can hear a lack that a really good singer has. Ohno is the best of them, but I wouldn't say that he's the best in Johnny's. Dance wise, Ohno is better than Yunho and Junsu, judging from what I've seen over the years. But as a group, DBSK is a little more in sync with more engergetic dance moves. Dbsk really can sing well, and they do it well live too. Many fans will claim that Arashi sings live for all their songs, but they don't, and the differance is obvious. I feel qualified to say this, having watched most of Arashi's live performances over the years and noting the difference between their syncing and live singing. Honestly, I love DBSK for their music most of all. Their songs and their performances are so beautiful and they really do have good voices.

And that was just based on vocals alone. Arashi does perform with emotion, they're seasoned performers and they sure do put up a hell of a show for their fans. Their concerts are insanely elaborate and they really get the tension up. During lives, DBSK performs with just as much intensity. They are good at lives, period. But their concerts are far from Arashi's level, of course. A comparison of Arashi's first Tokyo Dome and DBSK's Tokyo Dome would see Arashi winning out by far when it comes to the sheer magnitude and intensity of the performances. Although DBSK still was most definately better vocally and musically.

Lastly, the reason why I love Arashi is largely their personalities. Looks aside, they genuinely have a bond that is so sweet and perfect. I laugh myself silly at their variety shows and generally I am never bored when they're talking and being dorks. Dbsk has a close bond too, they live together ( or they used to anyway) and they have a visible bond as well. However, they do lack the variety personalities that Arashi have. Arashi knows how to act on varitey shows and it's enjoyable. Dbsk's appearances in variety shows are much blander, though still enjoyable. But if I had to pick, it would be Arashi by miles and miles. Perhaps it's from experiance being on Tv itself that has given Arashi the avantage.
I won't comment looks wise,whatever floats you boat. And believe me, they all float my boat just fine.
But Arashi are not just singers and a music group like DBSK is. Arashi are Idols, and they have dramas, movies and several variety shows and radio shows and news progams. They're more rounded in the entertainment world, despite lacking in the vocals department. DBSK are singers, they are though, marketed in the way an idol group is, despite them having said that they wish to be seen as artistes and not Kpop idols riding the hallyu wave. I honestly love the hard work DBSK has put in in japan and slowly rising to the top. They're dedication and hard work make me love them even more. So I kinda want DBSK to remain artistes and singers foremost. Now that they're branching into Dramas too, I still wish them all the best. And just in case some fangirls comment of my lack of Arashi's hard work; Arashi have put in tons of work to get where they are. There are some who do not know it, but they've gone through periods of obscurity and low sales during their earlier days, but they've kept on going for ten whole years, relying on each other for strengh. And this makes me love them so much too

- I think you just answered your own question. We are proud of Arashi precisely because we ARE fans. We like them and the things that they do. Their looks, abilities and personalities may not be your cup of tea, but it is ours.
You can like one band more than any other, but that does not give you the right to criticize other groups. Each band/group is popular because they each have their strengths. One group may have accomplished something that the other hasn't but there would also be some things that the latter was able to do that the former was not able to.
Ok, I don't really get into things like this because mainly you get irrational/rabid fangirls dragging the opponent's name through mud but seriously, some of the things that I've read here just pissed me off. Yes, I am a fan of Arashi but I do acknowledge TVXQ's talent. I kow-tow to them when it comes to singing and dancing. They're not my kpop group (I'm an SJ fanatic) but I do acknowledge that they're the top Korean band. No questions right there.
Here are some minor points that I would like to point out, though:
1. BOYS OVER FLOWER IS REEAAALLLLYYYYY GOOOOOODDDDD!!!!!!!
- There were 3 versions of HYD. In terms of looks, I would have to say that BoF had the most good-looking F4 but when it comes to acting, it's HYD all the way. The acting in BoF was just mediocre. I wanted to like the series just because of Kim Joon, but sadly, it was just not that good. And before anyone accuses me of being biased, let me tell you: I'd rather watch Meteor Garden than BoF AND HYD.
2. Has Arashi ever win Asia Best Star Award?
- Are you referring to the Best Asia Star Award from Mnet Asian Music Awards? Of course Arashi hasn't won that and probably won't ever since it's from a Korean Award giving body.
3. How many times did got invited to the Asia Song Festival?
- There are different Japanese artists sent to the Asia Song Festival every year. Check out the list and you'll see that no Japanese artist has actually performed twice since the first year that ASF has been established.
4. Are they in the Guiness Book of World Record?
- Please remember that TVXQ is in Guiness because of fanclub membership, not because they were hailed as the best boyband in the world.
5. Does their tour for 300,000 tickets sold out in 5 minutes?

- Nope. But our boys don't really qualify because they aren't really outstandingly (or shockingly) good-looking. They do not really fit the "Flower Boy" mold. Personally, I have a major crush on Jaejoong and yes, if I actually participated in that poll, I surely would have casted my vote for Jaejoong (even if I'm an ELF) since Jaejoong's just too pretty. Arashi does not have a pretty member but the 5 of them are good-looking in their own way.

- I'm sorry, but which poll was this? I know a lot of people think that Yunho's, like, the best dancer but in the most recent poll that I found, he just ranked #3. Every boyband has their own Dancing King and there are a lot of "dancing kings" in Korea. Personally, I think Yunho can dance well, however, I like Junsu's dancing style better. When you're talking about dancing in Korea, I still think the old Korean idols - Junjin/Minwoo (Shinhwa), Jang Woohyuk (HOT); Rain and Se7en can kick anyone's ass.

- Of course not, since none of them are Xiah, Hero, Micky, Max and U-Know. It would be hilarious to address them with those names when they are Ohno, Sho, Aiba, Nino and Jun.

Uh. IMHO, Boys Over Flowers was a poor ripoff of HYD. It was long, draggy, and confusing. The actors were subpar except for maybe JiHoo. They introduced characters (like JunPyo's father) and never fully developed them. What happened to him? I watched both with an open mind and I have to say that BOF did a bad job with casting and scriptwriting. The end was ridiculous, too. So Jan Di and JunPyo can't get married without the approval of their friends? And JiHoo is continually teased by Jan Di's presence? Unrealistic. But that's beside the point.
I've never really listened to TVXQ (save for two songs) and I'm an Arashi fan. I admit they aren't amazing dancers or singers, but so many boybands are already marketed that way. Arashi is different because they're a close group with each of them taking a part in the spotlight. They're not afraid to have their *pink* talks on TV and reveal secrets about each other like the kind of underwear they wear! Every time I watch them, I feel like I'm a part of their conversations and that I could approach any of them in an instant!

Arashi been in the music industry for 10 years because they're older than DBSK.
DBSK been in it for about 7 years or so.
I'm a fan of both really, or was...:P; they both have their good qualities as well as bad ones ..(i'll be talking about arashi alot more since they have more info...and this basicaly my opinion)
DBSK has great vocal and does great live; but honestly, they're not the best (why do peole keep saying they are..??), i think Big Bang and SHINee 's better in dancing and singing live (:P sorry), and they can't act (Mickey and Hero can act, but they're not that good..); their personalities are kind of bland compared to many others in teh same industry, especially when they're in Japanese varieties show (though they do seem to have more charisma in Korean varieties....but they rely on Junsu for comic relief way too much)..you can definitely see comradery b/w them.....aside from that I have to say that their singing IS good though (especially Hero, and Xiah), and they can dance in sync almost completely, and I love their determination, and their serious sides; their solos are nice to listen to as well. And they're finally able to sound good while singing and dancing (love their mirotic performance~), their ability to harmonize is great, and it's a big plus that they're good looking and tall lols~

Arashi puts up a great performance when it comes to their concerts; basically it's entertaining to watch them whether it's their concert performances, MCs, dramas, or varieties; they're funny, and their personalities are really colourful; tehy're pros at creating a good and fun atmosphere. they're all good at their own field whether its nino for his acting, or sho for newscasting, or aiba RISKING his life on that zoo show, or ohno's art, and matsujun looking hot or whatever. But their singing AS A GROUP sucks; I blame matsujun for being the weak link, although he's the one mostly bringing in fans...; sho has pretty good technique, but his voice is soooo rough...which maybe due to his constant rapping..which I wish had more variation to...( the rapping part for believe and umbrella sounded the same....), and NINO..omfg..nino...he has a REALLY nice voice IMO, but why does he always sound out of breath? and off tone??! geez..he's basically the wrecker for their songs live currently (before it was MJ, but he's gotten better)..you definitely know that they're singing live, when nino's vice is on top....so yeah, their singing isn't that good; they never took singing lessons except for sho and ohno briefly for their west side story stageplay a few years ago. Although they are able to dance in sync better now, they're still not completely in sync; though they were for crazy moon, hah, maybe 'cause they were actually given time to practice...but still, their techniques are lacking (aside from ohno)...and their dance styles are pretty old..==...I think they all have potential, but sadly johnny's train them to be good at talking, MCing etc. being able to dance so-so s ok, and singing and acting is not really considered ('cause apparently he believes that anyone can sing and act..huh..). Nino and Ohno are great at acting ( jun's good, and sho and aiba are mediocre). ...but they're not really as great as the main stream actors; but still great i guess.
They're great to watch; they make you happy, and their music is really uplifting and just plain happy~ the proof is in their "fight song"; it's the most god-awful song musically imo, but it's the most motivating, and most uplifting (i listen to it all the time. esp. during test time :P)
Anyways, I chose...ohno! (sadly there's no ohno option there aw....) since he has all the qualities of an idol; b/c he can sing, dance, draw, act well, and he himself is an inspiration; t-though i guess if he was tall and handsome it'll be a plus..but cute is nice too~...

I think this poll is stupid! It makes fans fight fans and it doesn't mean or prove anything! Just because Arashi got 66%, it doesn't mean they're better than Tohoshinki for me.
Anyway, I'll bring up some advantages of both group:
1. Tohoshinki: they're cute, sweet, hot and talented. Their music is sweet and nice too. It made me love myself more, love people who love me more, love them more. And their dance is really darn cool!
2. Arashi: they're experienced and talented also. They act like little children for their ages ( which is a good thing) when Tohoshinki seems shy for their age. It's because of the condition, I mean no one can have fun with that evil president. Arashi's music is often fun and cheerful.
So anyway, I love Tohoshinki more. But I can't compare the 2 groups' talents.

I cam here again and want to rant this.
I know some fan turns from Arashi to TVXQ/Tohoshinki and also some TVXQ/Tohoshinki's fans turn to Arashi's. Basically, I think both groups have their own strong points and weak points. Even I am a Tohoshinki's fan, I still respect Arashi a lot. I am totally upset when I saw someone who called themselves as Toho's fan but never really learn from them. These five guys are one of the most humble stars in Asia or even in the world. Yet, there are so many fanatic fans that are so arrogant and make Toho's fan as a whole looks like an irrational pathetic fangirl.
I am, myself, very proud of TVXQ/Tohoshinki and also want to protect my favourite when they received unreasonable critics. However, I think some fans here should be open-minded. I get angry when someone criticized Toho's ability without watching and listenning to them. Therefore, it's not hard to understand Arashi's fan when I read some arrogant comment of Toho's fan. It would be ok if you say you don't like their ability once you know them enough. Maybe you just don't like their style. There are many ways that one can praise their favourite without bashing the others. For those Toho's fan who said that Arashi can't dance. - -" I like Arashi because I saw them dancing 9 years ago. What the heck with all toho statistic! I don't think they need those stats to prove that they are good singers with good dancing skill and kind hearts. Max Matsuura (AVEX chairman) praised them for many time as well as many other people in entertainment business. Their voice can easily make people cry or smile. That's why they are so precious to me - not because they are better than anyone else but because they are always better than who they was. They do their best all the time in order to sing and dance the best for us.
Let me say to someone who ignore Tohoshinki/TVXQ...These guys also called each other as comrades and family. Their bond is might even deeper than anyone can understand because they lived together for 7 years. They were sent to Japan where they couldn't even speak the language. It was like being left in a far far away island where they have nothing but only each others. TVXQ was one of Korean biggest stars when they had to go to Japan and sang on little stage with only 50 people came to watch. I don't think anyone can understand that pain but themselves. That's how strong they are. On the last week of 2008, they had to fly back and forth between Korea and Japan in order to rehearse and performe in both countries. They flied about 10 times in one week. Only these five can understand this feelings. That's why they can rely on each others. That's how they become who they are now.

BUt for me it's all Arashi XD I love theri closeness their friendships their stupidness and when they are helping other people. I love Arashi, and I don't care about DBSK. Whether Arashi can sing or not, whether their dance technique is good or not, it's not important. The importance is that hearing them singing, watching their shows and seeing their smiles makes me feel self-confident and live more positively. Arashi sings and dances well, but I don't love Arashi because they sing or dance better, I love them because they make me happy. Isn't that the role of idols, making their fan happy? In fangirl's heart, their idols are the best. They are the best just because they are unique and only. I mean best, not better, I don't mean an comparison with any other bands.

I'm neither an Arashi nor a DBSK fan. I also don't care much for Kmusic or Jmusic for that matter; I'm more interested in movies and dramas. But, like many have said, it all comes down to your own preference. Personally, I find Arashi a bunch of friendly guys whose closeness to each other definitely attracts a lot of fans. They're also one of the more likeable groups in Johnny Entertainment. For many, DBSK is better-looking. Yet, I find them normal. In fact, their shininess (and other Korean celebrities, for that matter) sort of drives me away. Let's just say they're not my cup of tea.
Many people have commented that DBSK fans are too fanatic. Well, that's what happens when they're too popular. It's also one of the reasons why I've never been interested, but I don't think it's just DBSK fans who are like that, but rather any group that's too popular will have crazy fans.
All in all, any comparison is virtually pointless. Is Paul McCartney or John Lennon better? Well, take your pick.

I think I speak for everybody here that there is really no way to compare the bands in an unbiased view-point. We are essentially all biased towards our favored band, and I think it's getting a bit too heated up. I think it really doesn't matter who is better than who. Both bands give each of us joy and delight and a connection that seem to form even though we are oceans and seas apart. Song-wise or acting-wise or simple words of encouragement or just plain smiling photos, sharing joys of success or pain of failure or frustration at mounting problems, we know there is that something special that drew us to them. I love DBSK to the tiniest atoms and revel in their successes and cry with them whether in joy or in pain and I take joy in the simplest accomplishments they achieve, and even though I may not know much about Arashi I respect them a lot. their accomplishments are nothing to be belittled and I can see a lot of things they have in common with my beloveds. It's fun to compare both groups because of this. hard-working sincere individuals bonded together by the same dreams and friendship. Please don't belittle either group in favor of the other.

They're award winning actors, they're songs are inspirational, they're closeness is unmatched and longstanding, I love their singing, and they are just so funny. I love all of their shows over the years, and I never get tired of re-watching all of their dramas and movies, and listening to their songs. Arashi is it for me.
I was an arashi fan for one year... and now... im a total DBSK(tohoshinki) fan girl. They can't sing and dance at the same time? then you do not know them very well... have you every watch them perform mirotic? If the question being asked was, "which do you prefer, kpop or jpop?" then I would definitely admit kpop....because korean pop music has that awesome american feel with just enough mixture of traditional trot and oldschool bubblegum pop in it to make it different.
However, in a battle of bands, the true answer, to me atleast, is for sure Arashi. Even I, an avid kpop fanatic, can confidently admit that while DBSK has garnered alot of success of the years, Arashi will forever be a household name in Japan.....not to only children and young females, but to old men and women too. Parents and Grandparents admit to loving the band just as much as their offspring because of the diversity of the music and close brotherhood of the members.

I think it depends on what you're after. Tohoshinki's cool and handsome, I won't deny that they have great voices. The dancing blows me away all the time. They're also more fashionable (that could be credited to the fact that Korean idol groups adopt "newer" and trendier styles as compared to Japanese idol groups, generally speaking; I've always wished Arashi could get better stylists.) And they're taller and manlier and everything. My friend just raves for them. And I get her, that's her poison. I personally love Tohoshinki's songs too, and they are great performers. I feel their sincerity in wanting to entertain, and do well in their craft. But yeah, I don't know how they are in real life, how they interact with each other, how they MC etc, I'm not an admirer to that extent. Maybe because I haven't really watched enough of their stuff? My friend will cure that, I'm sure.
As for me, my poison is the friendship, heart, and humility that Arashi has as a group. It's true, they're "cute and funny" like Christine said, that's their image, and they are really like that. I just don't like it when people imply that they are not talented, that they're nothing compared to Tohoshinki dancing and singing-wise. Tohoshinki might be technically better at those, but Arashi is pretty good too. What I love is that Arashi is composed of 5 different people who never claimed to be anything special, they always like to think of themselves as hard workers, they never sought for that idol/Asian boyband aura of coolness (Matsujun had his phase, but he's a pretty sincere guy when you get down to it), and they are all such good friends.

Being a fan of theirs is all-consuming, even outside music: what with Ohno and his art, Sho and his newscasting, and all the member's dramas and movies (if you're a new fan, you'll have months and months of catching up to do to watch everything they've been in). It's a full time job being an Arashi fan, and someone has to do it. But it's entirely a pleasure because when you get to know those 5 boys, you would want to cheer them on because they're so easy to love: they are funny, candid, hard-working, and sometimes painfully dorky (but that's welcome too!) Even minus all the hype they're getting now, I think they would still be doing the same things to the best of their ability: singing, dancing, and making people happy. They're not the coolest idols in the planet, sure; but they embody the spirit of true entertainment. They've surpassed needing to be cool.
Basically, I choose Arashi. I'm not only a fan of them as entertainers, or singer/dancers; I'm a fan of them as people. I think every Arashi fan can say that, and really mean it. I'm happy they're my poison of choice.
Tohoshinki's songs, have the ability to touch my heart.Even if i don't understand what they're singing. Just as how some people say that Arashi songs are inspirational to them, Tohoshinki's songs are inspirational as well, not to mention that they're touching. My friend (who wasn't a tohoshinki fan before) started to cry when I let her listen to "Don't Say Goodbye". I was shocked. I asked her why she was crying and she said she didn't know, but this song just moved her. and she said that maybe that was why she cried. So rly, tohoshinki also has the ability to touch ppl's hearts.
I'm very biased and I know it. but! In my opinion, if we judge a group by their talents (singing, dancing, etc) there must be something which another group have and they don't have or vice versa. Maybe arashi's dancing or singing not the best from other groups, but they always do that from the heart ( nino said this himself at Time con MC). But you know, what attract me the most from arashi are their fun personality and strong bond between them despite the fact they weren't that close at the beginning because they didn't know that they were really gonna debuted, but this factor wasn't commonly found at another group. This could easily be seen from their interaction at variety show or at their performance at concert. And I guess to maintain their relationship for 10 years without fight even once isn't an easy thing to do. They are adorable and a great entertainer.

About the poll, I think Arashi is entertainment-wise while Tohoshinki is music-wise. Since I mostly don't have much time watching TV and video clips which means I listen to music more while driving and working so I choose Tohoshinki. (I do like many Arashi fast beat song too.)
Their song, especially the songs that they wrote by themselves always touch me. They are not the normal love song but have encourage meaning. I do think that they have never been perfect, in the sense that their music improve and improve all the time. I admit that I would never fall for them if I know them too early. (Their japanese in the 1st japanese album is....ermmmm never mind)
However, their live performance keeps improving. I almost think their 2nd Japan tour is very very good and better than any boyband I have ever seen but they are always better than themselves in the past. (I have seen a lot of boygroup from Western and Eastern and believe me...Tohoshinki performance is really to die for.) Their ability and passion in singing and dancing live is one of the top. These 5 guys auditioned and trained and struggled to sing and dance, not to become well-round idol anyway. Their focus and dream is always about singing. That's why, I would say they are different from most of asian boygroup out there and always have special place in my heart.
I won't try to bash anyone here but for those who think Arashi has better vocal and singing skill...please watch tohoshinki performance and tell me that Arashi can sing live perfectly in both ballad and dance songs like this as a group.

Even my friend who is biggest Arashi fan can't believe that Tohoshinki can sing live while dancing tremendously for 30 minutes straight at Tokyo Dome. However, apparently, Tohoshinki can. (She said even Arashi lipsynced in some songs. I was like...well, this is Tohoshinki.)
I respect the other opinion about look, song, personality wise, dancing, acting but don't dare say that Tohoshinki sing worse than any JE group if you don't know that they can sing live for 30+ song for more than 3 hours and even sound better than the recorded ones. Lots of my male friends even respect Tohoshinki on this matter.

By the way, I also wanted to add that another thing I love about Arashi is their songs. Over the course of the past year or so, I'm noticing their songs are not just love songs anymore. More of their songs are actually inspirational songs if you listen closely to the lyrics, such as Happiness, Believe, Ashita no Kioku (for example, if we believe strongly, strongly in each other, what color will we paint tomorrow?), Everything, Step and Go, Truth, We Can Make It, Sakura Sake, Beautiful Days, Tobira, etc. Their songs sing about moving forward, believing in tomorrow, not giving up. They're inspirational. For those of us who work, in this day and age with the economy the way it is, inspirational songs are what I need the most right now. Even now with their three new songs in 2010, Yurase Ima Wo, Troublemaker, and Sora Takaku, they are also inspirational songs. That's why I pick Arashi. Their songs make me feel better when the day is bad. They make me laugh and smile when I feel like crying sometimes. I don't think another Asian group has had the ability to do that to me. :)
I give it to Arashi. I think their vocals are great, and they definitely can dance. They dance their own way, they don't dance like SMAP. They don't dance like Tohoshinki. They dance hard. They dance with energy. They dance enough to rouse their fans. That's enough for me. As far as their singing goes, I watched them on 2009 FNS Best Artist and their rendition of Ashita no Kioku blew me away, especially when they hit that crescendo at the end of the song. Watching them, they definitely stood out vocally because they sang with strength, and when they ended that song on the last note, their voices blended into one voice. THAT is the Arashi I see. But more than that, it's not just that they have succeeded as entertainers and actors, it is also what they have accomplished in reaching out and interacting with people around Japan. I was going through their long lists of shows on Wikipedia, and over the course of their career, they've done some pretty hard labor and even dangerous things. I'm talking about shows like Mayonaka no Arashi where they traveled by train without map or money from one end of Japan to the other, with Jun getting his head hit with fire furing the Nagano Fire Festival. I'm talking about Mago Mago Arashi, where they became grandsons to lonely grandparents all over Japan, doing everything from household chores, cooking, harvesting vegetables and fruits, helping take care of diary farm, climbing mountains to look for mushrooms, harvesting lotus roots from a pond of mud, Nino carrying a grandmother on his back, helping a grandmother learn to ride a bicycle, all of Arashi learning to row so that they could fulfill one grandfather's dream of rowing again with young people, giving massages, working from morning clear to late at night each and every time. G no Arashi, where Arashi acted as supporters for other people, which ranged from solving personal problems to helping promote the awareness of minor sports. These five guys gave back to their country and then some. They even became certified childminders so that they can babysit babies and small children of working mothers. These guys have done what really matters most, not just as singers or actors or hosts. They gave back to their country and touched people, all while being funny, down to earth, approachable guys, nowhere near as what an "idol" is supposed to act like. For that they have my ultimate respect.

and about the kohaku.. it's not that arashi can't enter kohaku... they've been invited many times but there is a rule that only 2 frame for JE will be given so tokio or SMAP would be removed but due to their countless times of participation it won't happen... and so that's why this 2009-2010 countdown, NHK made a special rule just for arashi so that the jimusho would allow arashi to be on show.. see their special.. it's almost every media thingy want arashi in their mags/show coz if it's arashi ratings will definetely get high..♥

I think arashi is MUCH better. Just a few months back i was obsessed with kpop and didn't listen to anything else. But one day, i started to watch arashi's shows and they are hilarious! You don't even have to be a fan to think their funny. I tried to listen to DBSK and their vocals are more impressive but I personally think Arashi is better at dancing then DBSK. Arashi's choreography may not be that good but they are actually good at dancing. Appearance does matter for an IDOL and appearance-wise, arashi wins too. From dbsk, only Changmin's face is handsome while in arashi, all 5 are handsome to me. And i definitely like arashi's music better. And no offence but dbsk is SOOO boring, their talks aren't funny at all!

Dancing wise, it's also TVXQ (but I blame JE for this cuz they need to hire better choreographers for their groups like Kat-tun and Arashi.)
acting wise, its Arashi because all of it's members have participated in at least one drama. Whereas TVXQ only has about two members that are barely starting to act in actual dramas.

Hm, I guess it all comes down to our own biased-ness. I'm a DBSK fan, and they are the only band I listen to and the only band I will listen to. I don't have grounds to compare and say who's best because I don't know Arashi that well.
But I'd have to disagree to some of the earlier comments. DBSK's live performances are one of the bests I've seen, and I truly respect and admire their abilities as singers and artists. They CAN dance AND sing at the same time. They debuted as an acapella-dance group, after all, and they are pretty good at it. And the issue about plastic surgery isn't proven but then again, few would care. Looks can only take an artist so far, they need staying power. I believe for a fact that DBSK's staying power lies on their abilities to give out their best in every performance, and their attitudes toward their work. They are not just pretty faces. They have substance. They are humble and respectful and they work hard at what they do.
In all honesty I do not like techno music at all. Anything I hear with synthesizer I shut my ears to. I love ballads and pop and RnB. And that is why I listen to DBSK. In my opinion, their ballads are to die for, their pop songs are very nice to listen to, their dance numbers make me hop around the place. They cover a wide variety of genres. They are a very versatile group with superb vocals and brilliant performances.
I have many more reasons why DBSK will always be the best band for me, as I'm sure Arashi fans have their reasons to why Arashi will always be best for them. Again it all comes down to biasedness and preferance.

Yes definitely Arashi. First of all they have been around double as long as DBSK, DBSK have still some things to learn I think.
Even doe I have only been in to Jpop and Arashi for a little more than a year, so can't I just stop loving them, I just have to watch anything Arashi related, witch is a lot^^. They have really made me a real fangirl I have to say lol.
I have tried to like DBSK to of course since so many people always saying how good they are and all that. Sure some can sing and some can dance, just like any other boyband. But that is not enough for me to love them, I have to like their personality too. Which I never seem to can like when it comes to DBSK, they all seems so dry or something. Most of their interviews are soo booring, it just trows me off sadly.
I don't really like DBSK music so much eater it is eater technoish or some other weird thing(balloon scary o.0). I like more pop which I though kpop and pop stood for, lol I guess I was wrong. But since Arashi really do stick to the pop part most of the time does it make me like them more. I also like Arashi sound/voice blend more than DBSK.

No offence to dbsk.. Arashi all the way.. They have debuted 10 years.. May be they r old.. But they r too charming and cute if u got to know them.. I have tried dbsk, they are not that great at dance.. They can't sing and dance at the same time.. But arashi did at aaa show without affecting their singing.. No offence to dbsk fan.. It is the truth I am telling.. Some members in dbsk have done plastic surgery.. As u know, most of the Koreans do that.. Arashi is not.. They r like this face and never change since 1999.. U will know who is better once you get to know well about both bands.. Don't just decide the best band by appearance.
