    @Brian: Seems ok to me. What the answers likely mean is this:

    Yes, they are not appropriate for anyone in any circumstance
    or
    Yes, there needs to be more education and they should only be used by those who understand them

    Bottom Line - In my opinion, leveraged and inverse ETFs are safer than individual stocks.

    Also, inverse ETFs may or may not be leveraged.

    They are NOT only for day traders and institutions. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand the concept of leveraged ETFs "resetting every day". The words "education and sophistication" is stretching it quite a bit.

    The control freak / whiners need to find something else to complain about. Nobody is forcing anyone to use them against their will.

    And I say this even though my last trade (FAZ) was a big loser. Hey, you can't win them all. When the opportuntiy is right (for me), I plan to use a leveraged (or inverse leveraged) ETF again.

    I think this poll is actually misworded. The reason is that even though I feel that investors should have the freedom to make their own decisions, leveraged and inverse ETF's aren't for everyone and require education and sophistication.
