Should entertainment journalists stop asking this ridiculous question when they're nearing deadline and can't think of anything interesting to write?
Yes: enough already!
No: Burton and Depp should know the opinion of every jackass blogger and his readers regarding their working relationship, and adjust any future projects accordingly.
they absolutely can't split up! Depp amd Burton make such amazing movies and even though they work together Depp still finds time to make other movies with other directors. don't split them up.
All right, everybody! Roll up for the Magical Mystery Tour! Step right this way! Burton and Depp are the Lennon and McCartney of movie making: cinema's answer to pure genius in both gentlemen, and mix their energies together, and you've got pure carnival!
If Johnny and Tim rehashed the same characters over and over, I could see why people would raise an eyebrow at that; however, with each collaboration, there is something new and fresh in Johnny's performances because, like some of you have already stated, Tim trusts Johnny's instincts- which may or may not be said of other directors. Think of all the characters they have put together: Edward Scissorhands, Ichabod Crane, Ed Wood, Willy Wonka, Victor, Sweeny Todd, and now the Mad Hatter-- and soon we'll have Barnabas Collins! Each character can stand alone on its own merits, but what a mighty collection between the two of them! This pole smacks of jealousy from others who may not have experienced the good fortune these two gentlemen have in each other's visionary talents. By the way, there are spans of time, other directors/ actors, and projects that have come up in between their collaborations. If it ain't broke...
Why should Burton get another actor when he's got The DEPP?
Directors and actors developing a rapport with one another and collaborating on many projects together is NOT a new phenomenon in Hollywood. Look at John Ford/John Wayne, John Huston/Humphrey Bogart, Alfred Hitchcock/Jimmy Stewart/Cary Grant, Scorsese/DeNiro and now Scorsese/DiCaprio, Ridley Scott/Russel Crowe, Woody Allen/Scarlett Johannson, and I might add Steven Soderbergh/Matt Damon....Yet, people seem to pick on Burton/Depp for working together? Why? What do little critics, bloggers or who/whatever these people are think that Burton/Depp are being unfair or uncreative for working together? Is it really because you can buy merchandise related to their work at Hot-topic? Seriously? People offer nothing but that and that there are other directors/actors 'out there' that one or the other could be working with. Well so what? Maybe that person will find a creative and brilliant relationship with a director/actor one day. Obviously, by looking at the work they have done and the poll numbers show that they make a great TEAM! Hey, if you don't like their work then big deal then DON"T watch their movies. But hey if you feel like criticizing or just being a HATER! then don't leave out the other director/actor's....stop putting all the hate on Burton/Depp!
i think jd shoud take Better Opportunities with others after poc he becom biger he shoud choose better moves we exbect more than tim borton i thik he shoud do like brad bit, hes not better actor than johnny but he think better so he get all the big rouls all the good luk,the only way tim is taking johnny is dawn i think tim shuod let jd Breath, his size is biger now let him Wear his size

I think there is no reason, why JD should not working with TB. I enjoyed all the movies. Both brilliant and talented people. I am looking forward more collaboration in the future. I think they should make more movies together
I could not agree more Depp and Burton make the some of the best movies. What's your problem. Why don't you tell Clooney to quit making movies with Pitt.
Why ruin a perfectly good thing? If I could get Johnny Depp to star in all of my movies, then why wouldn't I? Why should it be any different for TB?
Suzanne I agree with you. There are plenty of other actors and directors that work together all the time. However, people like to pick on Burton/Depp because the movies they do are different than mainstream drama, action, etc. I guess some people consider them weird because they can not think outside of what is spoon fed to them. If someone doesn't like there movie then they do not have to watch.
Are you kidding? Maybe you should name some really talented actors before you suggest Burton use them. He uses Depp because he knows that Depp's ability to take on characters and transform himself is unparalleled in the acting world. I anxiously await the burton- depp combination because I know between the acting and the incredible directing, every film will be second to none.
