Well hey now I don't know what these young people are up to but there are some fine designs in this contest and I think everyone has done a really great job. I think it's great that so many people are getting involved in the poll. It would be a shame if this young man "Gary Oak" lost because some troublemakers from this "ebaumsworld" started causing problems. I have half a mind to call ebaum and give him a piece of my mind.

So I've had a stressful day from dealing with all this Healthcare bologna, So I thought why don't I relieve some stress from some good ol' fashion pornography, so I type in my favorite site (redtube) but somehow typo'ed http://www.vans.com/patterncontest, I was startled by the embarrassing typo but I thought I might as well check out the entries while I was here. I start looking at them one by one and they all have a similar alternative artsy vibe and none of them really POP at you, Until Gary Oaks submission. Right when I saw his design it reminded me of my childhood, I was always the kid people put last in shoe contest polls hoping people wouldn't scroll down far enough to see it and make him lose, so I feel like i've bonded with Gary Oak's design. Voting for Gary Oak's design wouldn't only shoe you have the best taste in art and fashion, but it would also show your american pride. Maybe someday I can take my private jet to Pallet Town and meet with Gary's parents to find out where he got his amazing ability to create eye shattering art, I hear his mom is a gentle loving woman and his dad is a highly respectable scientist. I look forwarding to ordering a pair of his custom shoes so I can wear them under my boring black shoes. Tomorrow morning I will ask my staff to make me a full outfit using just his design, Suit, Shirt, Pants, Everything.

Some great shoe designs out there. I have a bit of an odd taste in shoes though, so I picked gary oaks design, just because it gave me this whole *why would someone where this?* sorta feel, and then it hit me, thats what fashion should be, original. I must say all the artists have given their best efforts on these designs, but Gary's is just perfect for me.

Aside from their relentless war on everything, eBaum's World is the miserable black market of the internet; everything there is stolen, and some fat smelly guy is trying to make money with it before he gets caught. In this case, the toothless scalper is an evil conspiring Jew going by the name "eBaum", which is the internet spelling of "Eric Bauman". In numerous cases he has been caught doing such things as cropping watermarks out of image macros, decompiling flash movies, and recompressing shitty mpg files all in order to rebrand them with his own tag, which is slowly poisoning the rest of the internet.
No matter what you do, nothing will convince eBaum to remove your work from his shitty website. Occasionally old media giants will find some of their copyrighted material on his servers and issue a DMCA takedown notice, which eBaum then shreds, rolls up in a hundred dollar bill, and smokes while laughing hysterically. His millions in ad revenue have made him virtually untouchable in the virtual world and nothing short of IRL death will make any difference.

YTMND is similar to Eric Bauman of Ebaumsworld, but Ebaumsworld is much worse. YTMND users steal images from other sites, such as 4chan and SomethingAweful (most just use "google" as their source; just as bad as not crediting the original author at all). When users leave their sources blank, they are either: 1. lazy or 2. trying to credit other material as their own. If it is left blank, it supposed to be assumed that the creater of the page created that image or sound. However, YTMND can be classified as more original, since they take those images they find and mold them into quite humerous "fads" and other jokes. Some even create entirely new images from scratch, such as "Color ME YTMND."
I got bored with the current daily media on Ebaumsworld, so I went to YTMND to make me laugh.

I don't know what all of the crap above me is about, but Gary Oak definately did make a very unique design for a shoe. The rest are pretty common for Vans designs (Jackie Nott provides a unique variation) but the...hairy shoe idea is pretty freaking cool!
