Should Massachusetts change the law to allow Gov. Deval Patrick to appoint Sen. Ted Kennedy's replacement?

The process should have been started months ago. Everyone knew that Kennedy could not work so why did they wait so long. A senate seat it to be voted on not appointed! This is the state of Massachusetts, not the Kennedy state. It is time now to go into a new direction.

Yes, that is true, but the law should be changed so the election of Mr. Kennedy's replacement can be held with the normal primary and general election, since that is closer. That is a change that--1st, would serve the people of Massachusetts better, and 2nd, would save the cost of two more elections in an elkection year.

It is blatantly obvious that the Democrats changed the law when we had a Republican Governor a few years ago and now that we have a Democrat Governor they want it changed again.
