The "Trigger" is attached to a large gun designed to kill the public option. It is a trojan horse. We need to just implement the public option now and move forward.

I was watching the news and heard the phrase "public option with a trigger". This means that the public option would have to be triggered(by set guidelines in the bill) in order for it to be available. Historically, when a trigger is placed in a bill it is rarely used. It is a way of killing the public option and still being able to say to your constituents that you support it. I just wanted to say that I support a healthy public option and do not support one that is only available with a trigger.
