Indict, prosecute, convict and incarcerate every one of the ACORN operatives.
Follow the money and the trail as high as it goes, even if that is Congress and/or the White House. Those persons must be thoroughly investigated as well.
Permanently terminate Federal aid of any kind.
And ask everyone you know this question: "Why on earth do you want some strangers with "in your face attitude" coming to your home town to "organize" it for you?" If you don't want that and you would rather have your city government do the job instead, ride ACORN out of town on a rail and pitch in to help your community without any political outside help!! That includes ACORN's military arm, the SEIU. Get Andy Stern while you are at it. He is a true blue Communist if I ever saw one.
I like the idea of everyone on this site tuning in to FOX News during prime time. They already beat out all the other networks, but it would send a message to this Administration. They attack FOX News instead of ACORN? What is that all about. We all know what it is about. Divert their attention to somthing else and they will forget.
Don't forget people......Tune in to FOX and keep up with what is really going on. Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, don't stop keeping us informed we are listening.
I saw where someone asked where the people were who voted "no or I don't know" in this poll. They are that small percentage who still stick to those other networks who are not covering anything that might look bad on "their" people in the administration. Nothing will be done about ACRON or the other groupes that are connected to them,unless the people stand up for their rights and fight for justice DEMANDING! that the corruption be removed out of our goverment.
It is absolutely imperative that ACORN be investigated. Defunding them is not enough. We must know if they have been funding other illegal activities. We must know if they actually qualify for tax exempt status. And we must know of their financial ties to other organizations and whether or not funds have, and possibly could continue to be, funneled into ACORN. To withdraw funding without finding out if federal funds given to other organizations would end up in their hands, would make any bill passed into law that defunds ACORN worth less than the paper it is printed on.

For all of you calling for Glenn Beck to head the investigation, that could never happen. The trolls would cry foul and then nothing would ever move forward. I absolutely feel there MUST be an investigation as well as probing to find how many other companies ACORN has tenticals going to.
Perhaps we could find some more citizens with common sense (like those who made the video) to investigate???
ACORN has been a problem for a very long time but many people didn't care what was going on or how their goal was being reached, as long as their political agenda WAS reached they were OK with the means. President Obama has SOOOO many things in his career that are negative yet people still chose to "make history" instead of thinking about doing what is good and right for our country.
All things associated with ACORN and SEIU must be investigated, dismantled and defunded but it must be done right otherwise there will be more tax money wasted to fund commissions of morons to prove there was an i left undoted or a t uncrossed somewhere in a report.

Yea, I tried to find something being said from these sources too. It was like Woody on toy story during the meeting, after all the news is reported bank roberries car crashes and traffic jams the reporters say in a low mumbbly voice "oh and one last note here there seems to be a video about someone trying to do something they shouldn't."
Judge me by the people around me! [Obama-before elected] Acorn $53 million since 1994[the year the take over started], 8 billion scheduled under the "stimulus bill",[payback}, SEIU[the bussed to the meetings crowd], 34 Czars[8-9 vetted], the rest "scary", the trial lawyers[forget Tort reform], Rangel[just pay what you owe] no penalty or interest, Geitner[opps, just pay what you owe] OK- now here' a nice job- go tell the American people how to pay their taxes. I am judging you, taking you at your word, this one time, so are lots of other hard working, taxpaying Americans that vote!
Actually, the only thing that needs investigated is what other groups are actually part of ACORN, so we can remove their funding as well.

I, as a taxpayer, wouldn't mind paying for bologna sandwiches in prison for the rest of their lives. (ACORN) Did you notice that illiterate, unsophicated, uneducated woman behind the desk in the video? She had all the crooked answers to help the ACTORS set up a brothel and how to trick the IRS. Don't tell me she wasn't experienced in this particular line of work -- somebody from HIGH-UP trained her well. She looked like somebody who belonged on the end of a mop handle, no more education than that, yet she had learned all the tricks. Who will investigate ACORN? Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Jesse Jackson, Rangel? Glenn Beck should head the committee.

Anne Wortham is Associate Professor of Sociology at Illinois State University and continuing Visiting Scholar at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. She is a member of the American Sociological Association and the American Philosophical Association. She has been a John M. Fellow Americans,
Please know: I am black; I grew up in the segregated South. I did not vote for Barack Obama; I wrote in Ron Paul's name as my choice for president. Most importantly, I am not race conscious. I do not require a black president to know that I am a person of worth, and that life is worth living. I do not require a black president to love the ideal of America.
I cannot join you in your celebration. I feel no elation. There is no smile on my face. I am not jumping with joy. There are no tears of triumph in my eyes. For such emotions and behavior to come from me, I would have to deny all that I know about the requirements of human flourishing and survival -- all that I know about the history of the United States of America, all that I know about American race relations, and all that I know about Barack Obama as a politician. I would have to deny the nature of the "change" that Obama asserts has come to America.
Most importantly, I would have to abnegate my certain understanding that you have chosen to sprint down the road to serfdom that we have been on for over a century. I would have to pretend that individual liberty has no value for the success of a human life. I would have to evade your rejection of the slender reed of capitalism on which your success and mine depend. I would have to think it somehow rational that 94 percent of the 12 million Blacks in this country voted for a man because he looks like them (that blacks are permitted to play the race card), and that they were joined by self-declared "progressive" whites who voted for him because he doesn't look like them.
I would have to wipe my mind clean of all that I know about the kind of people who have advised and taught Barack Obama and will fill posts in his administration -- political intellectuals like my former colleagues at the Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
I would have to believe that "fairness" is equivalent of justice. I would have to believe that man who asks me to "go forward in a new spirit of service, in a new service of sacrifice" is speaking in my interest. I would have to accept the premise of a man that economic prosperity comes from the "bottom up," and who arrogantly believes that he can will it into existence by the use of government force. I would have to admire a man who thinks the standard of living of the masses can be improved by destroying the most productive and the generators of wealth.

We know longer seem to be a country based on the rule of law. ACORN is a perfect example yet the administration most often ignores the founded truths and does nothing. Our congressman and others surrounding the president are so slow to consider these issues, and or ignore them so long as they benefit, while many themselves have not paid there own taxes therefore not following the same laws they create. Our country seems to have no character left. While they enjoy their lifestyles on our tax dollars, enjoy their own private healthcare which they won't change to a gov't plan I assure you, spending our tax dollars the way they prefer for their progressive agenda and ignore our founding fathers, and await their gov't pensions paid by us, we continue to work and keep supporting them in hopes of getting some social security dollars back of which they continually borrow and spend. If they ignore ACORN and its obvious unlawful practices, our leaders have absolutely no character left. And yet they wonder why we average Americans are upset with what they do and why tea parties are taking place around the country.

Wake Up America !! We need to take a stand against programs like ACORN as they are illegal and are ruining our country by their spending, along with backing someone like yobama. That's one of the reasons why he got elected because of the support of programs like tat.
The spending of our tax dollars has gotten out of hand as yobama keeps on running the national debt into the trillions. His try to take total control of our country. He's spending our tax dollars to have a "date" with his wife, allowing her to take their girls on a spending spree in England..yet he tells business's that they can't do this or do that. Taking control of the banking, the auto & other industries because he want's to run them.
How can you have respect for someone like that? I will never support anything he presents because I have no respect for him. He has lied his way into the White House with the support of the ones he's fooled by his lies, his flip-flop answers when asked about his birth certificate. He's not an African/American born in this country..he's an African born in Kenya who has lied his way into the office of President. Why won't he produce a legal birth certificate? Why does he "skirt" around the answers whe asked?
Joe Wilson was right in what he said last week when he called yobama a liar. He just spoke out like Patrick Henry did years ago.

As a person that has been in the mortgage business for almost 40 years and has been President of the Atlanta Mortgage Bankers Assoc. as well as The Georgia Assoc. of Mortgage Brokers, I can tell you what would and has happened to those in our industry if they committed fraud. .They would have been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Why not this group? Acorn should be immediately cut off from anymore of our tax dollars. This group has been a problem for years. We have allowed our government to support them with our hard earned money while all they do is help those that do not work and pay their fair share of taxes. Acorn is one of the groups that caused the mortgage crisis by helping people buy homes that they could not pay for an by intimidating the BANKS to buy these bad loans. Acorn says, without us who would help these people loosing their homes. They did not seem to be concerned when they showed these borrowers how they could buy now using any means of fraud they could think of. Why now, or are they more interested in what they are getting out of it?
Let's help our economy by putting this Acorn money back in the taxpayers pockets and not in peoples hands that appear not to have any morals or integrity.
Please call or write your elected officials and tell them how you feel about this and ask them to push for a full investigation of Acorn. They are not for the people.

I have heard the comment, "Why waste taxpayers money to prosecute or investigate?" If I were an ACORN co-conspiritor (employee?) I would also take that tack, but the truth is we must investigate AND prosecute. No less than Madows Ponzi scheme, this massive theft of funds is a crime. Any investigation by Congress will only be as thorough as the "investigators" allow it to be. Since the majority in Congress is so protective of the current regime, it's likely that an investigation will fail. Look at the Charlie Rangle (sp?) mess. So, perhaps defunding is the only effective way to finish off Acorn, However, rats always survive and appear somewhere else!
We need to put the brakes on now. The Senate and House and President hear the voice of the people and continue full speed on the track to socialism. Remember, never let a good crisis go to waste.

Having Congress investigate is probably a waste of time and money. Many Congresspersons are under the influence of the Democratic Party leadership, including Obama who was a big factor in ACORN. That would be like having the fox investigate how the fox guards the henhouse. Better to just cut off all funding. After all, under the Constitution, there is NO basis whatsoever for them to ever have received funding in the first place. So, COngress would simply be stopping doing something that is itself unconstitutional.
The whole ACORN organization needs to be cut off already from every cent of government funding.
It needs to be thoroughly investigated. All of the splinter groups, too.
That is how they fund so much political stuff including the millions given to President Obama's campaign. They get all these tax monies and grants and then spread it out to their groups which in turn spends the money on political goals.
However, looking at all the shady doings going on with the justice dept., and the fact that Pelosi doesn't want to investigate them along with a lot of others I doubt that the investigation will "find" anything.
It is absolutely amazing how once these Congressmen/woman and/or Senators get named to an 'investigating committee they get millions of $$$ pay for it, complete with new office space completely outfitted with everything including another secreary and other office personel and then 8 years later they will still be there whether they have found anything or not because they don't want to give up that extra paycheck. Look at the 9-11 Commission. It is still intact because the government didn't adopt all their criteria so they decided for themselves they still needed to be in there. Still drawing paychecks for what?
Neither branch of our government is really interested in finding the truth about all these crooks and the Whitehouse is moving them all around from one job to the other so fast no one can keep up with who they are and where they are, except a drunk like Glenn Beck.[I know he is a recovered but I think I heard him refer to himself not as a recovering, and I like him a lot. Look at all he found out in just a few months. Congress could too if they wanted to but I expect they will get a call from someone in the Whitehouse telling them to call off the dogs and they will, that is if Pelosi ever brings it to the floor.
