How can we as a nation, recover from our burgeoning national debt?

• We should immediately bring all our troops home and cut military/defense spending by 1/2.

• I think that we should make the rich pay more in taxes.

• I don't really know. the problem is so vast as to be almost unfathomable.

• All companies that got all those bailout dollars should be responsible.

• There's just no way. We're doomed, and going down, just like the Roman Empire.

• We should immediately downsize government and stop ALL government pork barrel spending, tighten our belts, and get to work.
