I agree that a rotating schedule would be fair...East Coast, West Coast, Southern Coast etc. Definitely need a lot of lead time for financial planning. Looking forward to seeing how this pans out..

Maine is a great idea. The East coast is so beautiful as is Prince Edward Island in the summer. If its anywhere east...I'm in! Michelle

I would love it to be on the east coast (Maryland, Delaware) just this year because time is a real issue this year (will be delivering new grand baby while father is in Afganistan. It would be nice to do it on a rotating basis though. Hopefully I would get to attend one of them. Great idea.

Somewhere on the west coast would be great as I could drive. But I live in Canada as a landed immigrant and I'm in the process of becoming a citizen so I couldnt travel to the USA until I have those papers

I like the idea of a rotating schedule from year to year. Of course, I'd love to see it happen right here in Maine, with gorgeous rocky and sandy beaches, fabulous cuisine for "foodies", and a wide range of lodging accommodations, I think it would make a wonderful site for the gathering.

While distance isn't really an issue for me, TIME is. I would be most likely to attend if this gathering was held somewhere EAST of the Mississippi River and sometime between November and April.

It would depend on distance and finances. It would be so much fun to be around others with the same fascination. I would enjoy finding out what they do and where they are from and learning about the history of the pieces that are found.
Big undertaking and difficult to appease everyone. For me finances and distance will always be a consideration in todays economic climate. I'm sure others will echo the same sentiment. I think a 3 year cycle would be great in switching around locations. West Coast, East Coast, The South. Of course this is only considering the continental U.S. If abroad...A 2 year lead way for saving and planning would be beneficial for most of us. Good luck..looking forward to how this all pans out. I've always wanted to go to No.Cal - Glass Beach :) Is that Ft Bragg?
I will be on Oahu Feb 13-23 and will be checking out the north shore sea glass availability...will report findings for possible gathering site?? :) That or you are all welcome to visit San Francisco! I'm afraid that if we all met in the middle, we'd end up in Omaha and that just won't do! haha We need to be on the water, somewhere. Likewise, I could help with arranging block rates on hotels and sea glass gathering tours and things you will find only in SF! Just a thought....

I would like to see a gathering at Cedar Point on Lake Erie. We have great beaches in the Huron/Sandusky area. Kalahri and Sawmill Place are also great places to stay. Side trips to Put In Bay and Kelley's Island ( great beach glass area) would be fun side trips!
