My daughter had some on and this boy came up to her and said i like your shag bands and held the top of her shorts and snapped one of her bands pulled down her shorts pulled down her knickers and started kissing a =nd licking her vagina and then went round the side of the school and got her completely undressed and had proper sex with her!!! A few weeks later I went into my daughters room and saw the same boy doing random sex poses!!! I told the school and they did nothing about it so I took her bands off her and the worst thing is my daughter is eight and she got pregnant I was furious!!!

Most children wear these for fashion, all of my friends do. We just laugh if one gets snapped, or we'll joke about it for a bit, but nothing is going to happen! Parents don't need to worry... These children who believe they should do what the bands tell them to, aren't going to, we are talking about 7/8 year old children, the parents should never panic about these new fads, it's cheap, and will be over in a few weeks.. x

i am 10 years old. my mates snap there shagbands sometimes, but they dont do anything, they dont have to sex someone or shag somebody. people only wear them because of the colours and for decoration. i only have 2, anyway. ive never snapped one before in my life. you dont need to worry and nobody should be banning them because people only wear it to look nice and add volume if u no what i mean! DONT WORRY

shag bands are great me and my boyfriend found out but it coz it was in the papers. then he got loads of em we break one whenever we do one of colours.
they are the best all my friends wear them too but they dont look too much into it if someone snaps it they laugh my mates are 12/14 but like we didnt know what the things were already most of the people i know knew what thease things were at 10 so =]

my 8 year old son got one of these stupid bands at school yesterday and an older boy snaped it and then told him he had to get raped because it was an orange band . He came home and asked me what rape is . These bands need to be banned . I have phoned the school and they agree with me and are banning them . Any one that think they are cool are very stupid

Ugh. The news storys r rly annoying me now. I wore "shag" bands AGES ago, just cos i likes the look of them, not cos of the meaning. I'm still gonna wear em even if they get banned, no matter if i get in trouble or teased or wateva, i never encouraged the sex and snoggin and everything and i dont swap them either. so ha, news reporters. just ha. trust.
