PARADE needs no introduction to its 71 million readers, who value it for the fun and information of Personality Parade, for the challenge and wit of Ask Marilyn, the currency of ideas in Intelligence Report and, above all, for its relevance. PARADE begins with a single, powerful image that draws readers in and then holds them with stories that educate, entertain and empower.

Funcadions and organizations seeking to help others are always very useful and save lives. All actions are good and are better that reverse all the money collected on those who need.

The National CFIDS Foundation is an unusual charity as one that is all volunteer. That way, every penny of every donation can go directly to fund research into myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) which we call chronic fatigue and immune dysfunction syndrome. This debilitating disease needs, at the least, a therapy for the millions worldwide that are suffering with it. By not paying salaries or having perks of any kind, the charity's main goal is to find a cause and treatment and then be able to go out of existence.

Without educating ourselves about tthe world, different cultures and the endless causes there are to be passionate about, how can we truly take that passion and "move mountains"? Every aspect of making a difference inherently asks us to educate ourselves about a cause. Hopefully, then we feel strong enough about that cause to generously give of our time, talents and resources and the change will be inevitable.

Heifer International gives animals and provides training to families around the world. Heifer animal offspring must be passed on to the next family. This is a great gift that keeps on giving. Whole villages benefit when decisions are made by the families themselves. On average, a Heifer animal results in six "pass-ons" and Heifer oversight of the each project lasts up to eight years. By that time, water resources are strengthened, plantings for feed crops to support the animals and vegetables for the families are developed. Most important, children can now go to school because of the income raised by improved crops. Heifer International should be on this list of super charities!!
    Thanks,
