Way to go ECC! You're right on target as our favorite neighborhood java joint. Great people, great eats and a solid cuppa joe. What else could a gal ask for? Oh, and you're on my bike route to work. You've got my vote. Keep up the good works.

ECC also supports local visual artists with a show that changes monthly. And artists are getting in line to show there! That says knitting community together to me.

I wonder if the order of the videos influenced how people voted.
I was especially impressed by Peruginos, because they set aside coffee grounds for composting. As a gardener, I've used coffee grounds, and they are a wonderful soil amendment, high in nitrogen.
Before this, I wasn't aware of any of these coffee shops. Now that I've watched the videos, I've become more familiar with them, and will try to stop in at all of them when I'm in the neighborhood.
ECC is all about community. You feel welcome the moment you step foot inside of the shop. It's a place where you want to sip your coffee, sit and chat while eyeing and buying the Holy Donuts! The Open Mic is a nice touch to give aspiring and inspiring musicians a great place to share.

ECC! A newer shop, that has so much room to grow. The dedication to Carrotmob that they have is unbelievable. All the time and energy we have/will put into making Eugene Coffee Co. a more sustainable java hut is exactly what Carrotmob is about. Thanks for all the votes, and continue to spread the word!

I LOVE this idea of CarrotMob - I've learned so much about these three coffee shops in my community, and also just about what it means to be green while running a business. Thanks, CarrotMob, for your ingenuity and creativity. I look forward to being a part of the mob on 10/31!
Community is an important criteria for all of us involved with CarrotMob. I believe each of the cafes involve do their bit for sustainability. In the Spirit of this opportunity to pull together and do some good for the community lets not let this be an end but a beginning to cooperative effort to be greener businesses, educate our customers and other businesses. So rock on Eugene! Lets do some fun stuff to help ourselves and our community!
In the spirit of Carrotmob, check out Eugene Coffee Company's website to see what we are committed to doing if we get mobbed eugenecoffeeco.com. Thanks everyone!
I've been a big fan of Gary's since it opened. Not only is it a great place to hang out, very inviting and light...but they really know how to make coffee
As an old-school espresso aficionado, I really appreciate both the quality of their coffee (YAY STUMPTOWN!) and the attention and care they put into making it - have you ever watched your barista closely as they make your coffee? Try it sometime. Some don't even look at the shot as it's coming out of the machine. These folks really care about making your coffee right each and every time.
I love that we have ECC in the south side (my neighborhood) AND their committment to being a "green business". It's a friendly, comfortable space and coffee is always good. And thank you for having Dragonfly Chai (LOVE IT). Positive vibes w/ bulletins of community and peace promoting events... whoo hoo, you rock!

Just wondering why nobody is leaving comments. For example, why hasn't a voter mentioned the warm and cozy atmosphere at Eugene Coffee Company?

Hard to imagine starting my day without a warm conversation with either John or Brenda, and a wonderfully made latté from Gary's.
