I'm getting tired of NOT IN MY BACKYARD. Sending jobs overseas has cost so much devastation to our economy I don't know how we are going to survive. I currently work at a remote mine site which is now under attack by the same liberal groups that want it their way or no way. At my place of employment we do it right. We spend millions of dollars each year to comply with (and in most cases, exceed) current and future environmental regulations. And we are doing a great job of it. This is the UNITED STATES people. We have the technology to do it right. As it stands we send jobs and industry over seas to third world nations who mess up the same air and water that we all breath and drink. Lets do it right. Lets do it in our own back yard where we can monitor and control what goes on. Lets bring jobs back home and work together as AMERICANS just as we have done for the history of this great nation.

I thought the results seemed very odd, considering public opinion about Pebble, until I realized you can vote as many times as you want, so someone with time on their hands could vote again and again, creating an 87% "no, I'm not against Pebble" result. The poll means nothing.

I want our young and old to be able to live in the village if they want to. But to do this, they have to have jobs. A mine in our backyard is not a pleasant thought, but jobs, cheaper utilites and transportation costs are worth it. I want to see the villages thriving, not dying.
